Alien PQ 60+ Boss Trouble

Ive been trying to figure out how to get rid of those "v"s that freeze you and ultimately kill you. It says that if no one helps you a "bomb" will go off but i have no idea how to get rid of it. Does anyone know how to get rid of it?

As soon as you kill an alien and the bomb appears, hurry and go to the portal in the middle of the map, the one with the arrow pointing down.

Above wrong aliens and wrong bomb. Other party members either need to use regular attacks to free you (unsure), or as soon as the chains disappear, fly as far away from where you were as fast as you can. You can dodge the explosions if you move fast enough.

I believe (not 100% positive) that other members have to hit you with a normal atk...thats just what I heard cause the only time it happened to me my party member died AFTER going into the res. room...-.-

ive tried reg atks but it doesnt seem to work...i still explode a couple seconds later -_-
