Does the VIP weapons make Reverse useless?

Like for example is VIP spear stronger than Reverse Alchupiz?

VIP Pros: In more cases it's stronger. Statless. Cons: Very difficult to get. Reverse Pros: Easier to obtain. If you're lucky with level bonuses and maker then it could be better than a VIP. Cons: Expensive to make though it's getting cheaper now. Less reliable because it can break through a stimulator at a 10% chance.

also you can't level them up. Ideally if you can comfortably hold reverse items don't worry. only if you are statless are you in big poo

I need those VIP weapons... Blew up my pescas :D But i'm sure Timeless weapons would be better in the end when all leveled. Reverse Weapons aren't necessarily useless, for instance: Looks good, potentially could have more attack with the level ups and maker.

But I personally prefer the looks of a reverse weapon than a VIP weapon. Edit: Also couldn't the reverse weapon attack be upgraded when you put in certain crystals that aren't that pricey?
