Why do Basilers say "Mang"?

I get that it kinda means "man" but with a G, but why in the hell do you include the G on it? Is it kind of like how people add on z's to words that end with S? Like "wordz"? I've never seen anyone outside of Basil use the word "mang". Discuss. And yes, I'm expecting 50% of the replies to use the word "mang" just because you can and it's free.

I don't get it D: Man does not sound anywhere close to the word G. And its pretty easy to replace words with a "s" with a "z" because they sound the same but i will never understand the extra "g" in mang. Sounds like manga to me :/
