The only genuinely important aspect of their measurement is the "research quality," though I'm not sure how one measures that in the first place. Graduate employability is important in itself, but greater employability often corresponds to the old reputations of some of these schools rather than superior education or skills.

Two of my choices are 15 and 17, not bad :D I'm going to apply to Harvard just to see if I get in, lol. Friends said I should have applied while I was in high school, but I can still try for graduate school :o

They use citations per department to measure research quality I think, hence why UCL is up there in the top 10. It's been a long while since a British institution has beaten an American one but definitely well deserved considering Cambridge was established back in the 1200s and has a long line of extremely famous alumni.

How do they rank Universities? I know they can rank them in their own countries with admission requirements, amount of students etc etc..... but on an int'l basis?

[/quote] Internationally accredited citations per department, popularity among big bank employers and other companies, the student:staff ratio (more staff generally scores higher) along with how many international students/staff the university attracts. |
