ALERT EMS: Major disconnection bug with using ./find

Recently, after the server check there has been a discovery of a major disconnection bug related to the /find functionality. Whenever you use /find and an username with MORE THAN 12 characters it will disconnect you upon trying. Whenever you use /find and an username with 3 OR LESS characters it will disconnect you upon trying. Hereby I would like to raise awareness of this bug so no one else will fall for it when doing something that could be lost. I do not know if there is other possibility to be able to disconnect upon using the find function such as LESS THAN three characters. ** (Update, just confirmed it will also disconnect)

Thanks for the warning! =) As far as I know, IGNs cannot have more than 12 or less than 4 characters, so in theory, if you type the name correctly, you should be ok. Hope they fix this bug soon though, because being d/c-ed for a typo is a bit rough! =(

Sorry Jeff I don't think you found this out? For past 3 days I've been telling people to /find that eeeeeeeeeeeek guy as he left a message in my shop trying to buy my BS30, and when I asked someone how many E's they said over 10. I typed in 12 and the k and d/c'd everytime. Anyways I don't see the many benefits of people doing this, but guess its wise to tell everyone so they don't fall for it.

[/quote] Where did I say I found out this bug? It has been spreading like wildfire now and everyone else is trying to get to others. Am merely making it more public so everyone is aware of it.

I don't really see how this could be a problem. No characters can have 4 or less and 10 or more. So.. As long as you don't mistype it

Reminds me of GMS, when looking at someones wishlist with a certain pet in it (I guess it was a cargo pet) made people dc. Everyone was shouting things like "look at my wishlist, new pet released!". Good times
