Auctions are unfair to new buyers

I've been a part of a basil for a long time. Once i had tried to buy something the guy posted it in the wrong Server/world. Now yesterday i try to buy a +10 strength icarus cape and i could bid past 50 mil and the bid was autowon by someone else. I couldve paid more. So the seller would've got more. How can i increase my Positive Feedback IF I CAN'T WIN A TRADE. It really pisses my off because ive BEEN looking for a Strength Cape. I think If you're BELOW 0% you cannot autowin that shouldnt be a privilege wtf

you should start buying some really useless stuff for less than 100k each and then build up your feedback THEN go autowin some stuff

This has been happening to me, too. Makes it hard to win auctions, also the 5min rule really screws you over if you're in a bidding war with someone...

Buy from bidders with 80%+ Feedback and check trades often... Try reading the details of the auction (Especially autowin and server world in your case)? It's also not that hard to win a bidding war in the last minute or so unless your not there. If something like this happens, I can just bid 5-10 seconds before the auction ends if there's no sniper protection. You can't get positive feedback if you didn't win the auction... That's like 'Oh, I'll give you a free positive rating just for bidding on my item even though you lost.' Doesn't make much sense, now does it.

[/quote] I'll assume u didn't read a single word the TS wrote. OT: Well I guess it's annoying at times, but I think it's to keep trolls from bidding on everyone's auctions

yea, just what other said except for rainbowrider o_O.. start by winning small trades first to get some decent feedback then work your way up so u can easily bid to the other auctions. About the bidding war always check if the auction has autowin price and be online ofc to monitor the bidding.. most seller always turn on the sniper protection anyways so just be alert for other bidders..

Also I didn't read the very bottom of the post... but you shouldn't even be bidding on a auction that's being hosted by someone with 50% or lower feedback let alone 0%.

I'm not sure about the rules, or at least the specifics. Contact the guy and offer him? If the cape was worth the time.

[/quote] God are you blind . . .? He said he doesn't have a reasonably amount of positive feedback therefore he can only bid 1 meso under the auto win price.

Oh that must suck, doesn't happen to me because l use basil to sell rather than buy things. l agree with what you're saying though. People with x> feedback shouldn't be able to win cause it stops real buyers from buying. l was trying to sell a scarlion helm, and the bidder stalked and begged me to sell it for 50m, significantly less than what he actually bidded. When l refused, l left the auction there and gave him negative FB. Second and third attempt of selling it he kept auto winning and it was really frustrating me. Don't ask why l didn't block him, l couldn't instantly assume a 26 year old guy would pester me because l didn't sell something to him. He didn't mind auto winning and letting me give him negative feedback, for his couldn't get any worse. However, he was purposely targeting my FB for his pleasure >:

Some girl was selling 2 Stirgeman Utility Pants with an autowin of 3mil each. I didn't have enough feedback to autowin it, so I PM'd her and told her that I'd pay the auto-win price for the items right then and now. She agreed, removed the auction and we traded on Maple. The only downside is that neither of us earned feedback.
