Why is maplestory a "kids" game?

i hear everyone going are you afraid to show your friends you play maplestory? Seriously what makes it so "kid"ish?

I dont think its really childish. I can understand people saying its a kids game but can an 8 year old really comprehend some of the things? I cant even understand some things and im 14.

IDK lol my friends dont care, but most people think a game that isn't 3d or isn't based on killing people with guns and grenades are to "kid"ish

Snails, Mushrooms, Pigs, Henesys. And the strongest boss apparently is a Bean that is alive with horns a face a tail with shoes.

You may have to kill snails with a stick at the noob levels, but I really doubt that any kid would get past 120, and even then, little kids wouldn't be smart enough to co-operate with each other at bosses like Zakum and Horntail and etc, so those parts are for older kids only

The game is only childish in the beginning. After your level 120+, though the game gets less childish.

Bull I tell all my girlfriends i play maple, they think it's dorkish but bottom line is who gets the enjoyment not then hint why they don't play maple and it's all about yourself and if your that self conscious about yourself the fact you play maple story learn to love yourself and what you like and what you not like. and Beside i Hightly think of maple as a non kid-ish game.... ironic yea but like have you seen the people who play this game Pervs, d0uch, and everything in real world but with no parental supervision if kids play this game... u_u but they can take it i guess. this is coming from my playing experience

No offense to anyone. But if you're really that ashamed of playing a game that much then you've got a problem, seriously. Either quit or just step up and show that you don't care. People can be so silly.
