As we all know the obvious MapleStory is an online game. Maybe 3% or less of the population of the game has computer science students. This is where I'm getting at for the percentage of the scrolling and enhancing items within the game. People say scrolling and enhancing items is pure luck. I for one, do not agree to such statement without any valid evidence. As programmers should know how each values have a randomize for the percentage upgrade values of any online game. Therefore, with using the right tools, most of us can view those values. Item upgrade values can be tracked once it is upgraded or failed. In addition, each time someone does something within the game there will be a collision of different values. Every movement, attack, chat, etc are recorded within data files of MapleStory. Thus, it is track-able. Before an item is being scrolled, there must be a time for the percentage value for success or failure of that item. This may sound complicated if you actually tracked each value; but, if scrolled at the right moment and time, it is possible to get a successful upgrade. Now most of you will say this is editing the files within the game and it is illegally. Although when reading the Nexon term agreement, yes, editing files will lead to permanent banishment; but, just viewing the files will not cause any harm. Within the term agreement, there is no say of viewing file values is illegal in any such way. Unless, I am wrong and I will take a note of it. In conclusion, the values are track-able for upgrading items and most likely this will not have any issues with the term agreement. This task is impossible without having any knowledge of programming. That is my theory about scrolling and enhancing them. Feel free to share ideas or criticize.

I am a computer science student. This is a waste of time. The random illusion of the scrolls is made using a random number generator wich actually a comlex formula. Note that because it is a formula, yes we can calculate it before hand and come up with a solution. But odds are the seed value wich is the starting number that goes into the formula is based on the time down to the milisecond(as this is standard practice) and because we dont know what time the maplestory clock is based on, and it would be nearly impossible to get a scroll to work down a milisecond, this is useless to us. Your better off to believe the probability you are shown and not try to find any way around it. Otherwise your just wasting your time.

nexon probably just has a regular function that chooses a random number between 1 and 100, and if it's 60 or below/40 or higher (for a 60% scroll) the scroll works. otherwise, it fails. for dark scrolls (lets say 70%) then 70 and below makes it successful, 85-71 makes it fail, and then 100-86 make the item blow up. i don't think it's as complicated as you say, but it's certainly not random.

nerds...jk but it is not random each scroll knows if its gonna pass or fail or destroy the item. But we dont know and there is no way to find out without hax

THEY PROBALLY ALSO KEEP THOSE FLES ON A TIMER in the nexon game itself which would be unhackable because they would have constant change or times and they would alos make sure that people who scroll do not always get good items
