IPhone 4 vs new IPod touch

Someone explain me how IPhone 4 costs 400euros more then IPod touch? (Europe) They both got Retina Display, HD-camera, Front facing camera, A4 Chip and Everything! U even can call with your IPod with FACETIME. IPod is thinner and cooler and u can get 64gb model but from Iphone only 32gb. I Bought recently Iphone 4 and im not getting from what im paying 400euros? No way im gonna pay 400euros from textmessaging or Push email. Did I get Applepwnd?

well, i also bought the iphone 4; for 999 australia dollars. But i guess the main reason it costs more than the ipod touch is ... well obviously, call and text. but probably the design? not too sure but saying that, id rather have an iphone.

In North America the iPhone 4 is only $150, but that's with a 2 year plan.

Do both the iPod Touch and iPhone you're comparing have the same amount of storage? Also iPhone = Phone and iPod Touch in one (easier to carry one device than two)

But still the Iphone 4 feels like a ripoff if anyone can get Iphone 4 without text messaging for half price. Yea and remember that the Iphone 4 pricing doesnt involve any free calls or textmessages or free Internet. I still have to pay from everything that I do with it.

[/quote] well haha, i guess its just more profit for apple, cause even so, people are still lining up to by one or the other. And also, dont forget the itouch doesnt have normal voice calling. And i think the only big difference is that the iphone can be used anywhere as long as you have credit and internet data, unlike the ipod touch which needs only wifi. And like someone said, its like a two in one deal. Even if you say the ipod touch is cheaper just without the phone... it still doesnt have a phone. Otherwise you're going to carry an ipod and phone. edit; by the way, im not sure but ive been hearing rumours about an iphone 5 early release in january.. if that is true than i just wanna kill apple.. but i wouldnt think so...? i beleive many people would be angry.. including me

Is there a way to like trade in your old ipod (eg ipodtouch 3gen) for the new ipod touch 4gen? I really want it xD EDIT: But facetime needs WiFi and ipod touche's wifi can only stay in one spot so yeah you cant really go around town calling :L unless theres like a macdonalds near you with free wifi

Moving out of the wifi area would switch the phone to a 3G coverage. But other then the facetime, it does lack messaging, mmsing, voice calling and internet/data surfing... i think thats the only major differences.

Basically Apple told all of it's sheep owners: We scammed you. My friend still has his old Nokia phone and uses his iTouch. The more modern Nokias like my N900 (more like a computer) has JoikuSpot which allows you to make your 3G into WLAN for others, so I help him get internet. Thus he has an iPhone with 1/1000 the price.
