Adv Potential fail and rant

after my attempt on scrolling a 90att+ cannon shooter had failed epicly 700-800m down the drain, i managed to make some money and get my hands on a 80Att u/h cannon shooter. i slowly earned some more money as i was walking through fm i found some guy selling a zhelm 19/25/11/18 Zhelm 1slot 1 hammer for only 110m i got him to hold it for me then as i rush around looking for a NX seller, my friend found me one and he sold me a SoK for 30m i immediately sold my helm for 70m and purchased this beauty cheap helm 19/25/11/18 i had about 70m left i felt very very happy and things might start going my way, i was about to train when i noticed s/c starts soon. So i had just logged out, when servers came on i bought a adv potential the moment i used it, it blew up my helm now with 40m ish, i cant even afford a new helm..... thanks nexon thanks.... heres a screenie of my equips i took for pirate dmg range http://img808.imageshack.us/f/maple0023.jpg/ ~edit~ i guess its karma.... i sold my helm to some db, but he already had a helm so he dropped his current one to buy mines....

yes thats like saying for every 10 scrolls u use 1 fails but this is like my 2nd adv potential scroll.....

Um, no. It means that you have a 10% chance of it failing. In theory every single adv. potential you use ever could fail. Learn to probability.

I completely understand how you feel. I belw up my 21dex 8slot zhelm and my 24dex robe... In a row. Like seriously this is like the time i failed 2 90% on my 71atk craven

[/quote] actually your right and not right. it does mean that for every 10 you use 1 will fail, but what your getting into is changing variables, which is just aa part of life, and is what i like to call luck

I hate when retards go "It has 10% not 0%" Go scroll a godly bathrobe with 10%s then. None will work! Potentials are nerfed imo.

if we take 10 as our sample space, then the probability of 1 out of 10 failing (no order) is: 10C1 x 0.9^9 x 0.1^1 x 100% = 38.7% and yea i blew up a 90% and 70% consecutively and at one point this summer i blew 2bil mesos trying to scroll an attk shield

It isn't certain that only one would fail, which means you could fail all ten times, but the chances of that happening is slim.

well you have bad luck i only use the 70% ones and out of 5 i have failed none o.o but i did fail 15 10%s in a row then failed a 30% and blew up my dragon glasses that was fun D:
