Newts skill build for rangers? Help!

Hello, I am almost a ranger! And I was just wondering what is the best skill build for rangers that will get me from lvl 90-120 the fastest? I was looking at a guide and it said that the newts build gives you a higher exp gain; however I just wanted to see if anyone has ever used this build and how accurate is this guide? Thanks in advance, and the guide I referenced to is one found on basil.

im doing the pure newtie build, its been amazing for me thus far.. at lvl 83 im getting 40-50%/hr at newts the first few levels are a bit tedious, from 70-77 i went to jesters, 77-83 at newts

Im doing arrow rain build and im at typhons at lvl 87. im getting around 45%/hr right now. I did 70-80 Windraders, 80-87 Typhons.

ok thanks : ), I heard AR build is more expensive and since this isn't my main I don't want to put too much money into it yet until I'm certain.

Typhons are MUCH, MUCH faster than Newties. They gave me 25%/hour at Lv 105.

Ugh, I don't know what build to follow. I Know that AR build is kind of expensive which I kind mind since this is not my current main until it can efficiently boss : (. If their are anymore opinions or advice on which is better please share : ).

Go with AR build 80-94 typhons

I havent done the strafe first build so i dont know, but i know typhons is great exp.. just HORRIBLE pot burn

[/quote] You can burn up to 4mil in pots per level, factoring in that you may salvage half of that in drops it costs around 2mil per lvl in the 90's at Typhons. I breezed through the 80's by sniping Galloperas with Arrow Rain. The pot burn was not bad at all (just MP pots, very few HP pots). I recommend staying there until you get a respectable lvl of Arrow Rain (27-30) and Puppet (15-18).

It might cost some money at typhons, but at 105 you can go to newts anyway. The 15 remaining lvls are enough for you to experience what's better. I consider training at newts boring and typhons are FUN. I went to typhons on lvl 83, before that I had been training at windraiders. I did one and a half level on a day with only 1,5~2 hours of training. Well doesn't that sound amazing? Still thinking about training at newts? At typhons you lure them to the spot in the middle of the map, hold down AR for a while ... BOOM over 20k exp from many mobs ... and again BOOM over 20k exp from a flock of typhons. Now the newts: hold down strafe at your snipe spot ... EWW 3,6k exp wait some seconds ... EWW 3,6k exp again I prefer the method where my exp goes up faster.

i went with the strafe build, i absolutely love strafe and all but i kind of wish i went with arrow rain first to quicken training like i could probly train at typhoons

I think you've mixed up the names of the lvl 50 monsters Gryphon in NLC with the level 100 Typhons at Crimsonwood
