what are the stars on the items? i recently bought a concerto with 4 stars on top... wth is that? does it make the price go lower?

Stars mean that the item has been scrolled with enhancement scrolls. However, you have to be very careful when buying these starred items, because there's a hack going around that makes the scroll always work. If you are caught using this hack, or buying from someone who has used the hack, you could be banned.

It's enhancement scrolls. Every scroll you use adds a star however it also lowers the chance of the next one working by 10%, anything after 8 stars is a 10% chance and if it fails the item explodes. As I understand it works like a chaos scroll but only adds stats and it doesn't have to be already on the weapon.

Stars are what you see when you do a few too many drugs. A bit more and you'll start seeing crescent moons, hearts, maybe even smiley faces :D OT: Stars are Equip Enhancements from an Equip Enhancement Scroll. Makes it valuable. Or potentially worthless (chances of it not exploding get lower with more stars, and there's a hack to prevent explosions, so some items may be removed for being hacked)

Enhancement scrolls are this new crap nexon came up with and pretty much if your equip has 0 slots, you can use it as many times as you want and make it better. Attempt 1 : 80% Attempt 2 : 70% Attempt 3 : 60% Attempt 4 : 50% Attempt 5 : 40% Attempt 6 : 30% Attempt 7 : 20% Attempt 8 : 10% Attempt 9+ : 10% The 4 stars represent the number of times the Equip has been enhanced. Therefore, he used 4 enhancement scrolls on the equip and if you ever use another enhancement scroll, it will have a 40% chance of working but keep in mind that if it fails, your item blows up.

5-6 stars= 1 sacrifice 7+ stars= 2 sacrifices (yes even 10 star monsters)
