How to train at crimson guardians as a level 100+ sniper or ranger or windarcher! http://img803.imageshack.us/img803/9650/pwnageatcrimsongaurds.png Why? 1. A nice change from typhoons. 2. Slightly-Much better experience 3. Less potion costs. Requirements Requirement #1: Holy water's, or allcures. There are two ways to achieve these very inexpensively. 1. Go to elliana, and buy 100 at a time from the potion shop for 500mesos (or 600 I forget) each. 2. You can also buy All-cure potions from The guy's at dead man's gorge. (400 mesos each). Put your NCP chat button to Y, and hold it! Requirement #2: You need the following: Max arrow eruption/rain. 5 Points in puppet. 1 Point in blizard/inferno. Requirement #3: A warrior elexair, if you want. How to train! Step 1. Climb to the top of crimson-wood mountain. Step 2. Jump up to the second platform on the right. http://img203.imageshack.us/img203/235/pwnageatcrimsongaurds2.png Step 3. Cast AE/AR and blizzard/inferno and make sure you have hit all the bottom gaurds. http://img191.imageshack.us/img191/6024/pwnageatcrimsongaurds3.png . Step 4. WALK. Do not jump off to the left, and then cast puppet once you are at a good distance. Inserts http://img808.imageshack.us/img808/8486/pwnageatcrimsongaurds4.png . Step 5: Insert http://img94.imageshack.us/img94/7947/pwnageatcrimsongaurds5.png Step 6: jump up to the second step after the divide. http://img717.imageshack.us/img717/4857/pwnageatcrimsongaurds6.png . For wind-Archer's, skip step's 1-5. Step 7: Spam away. http://img803.imageshack.us/img803/9650/pwnageatcrimsongaurds.png . After 5-15 minutes, your spawn will be getting low. Go into the cashshop/mts/cc and cc back to get a free teleport to the bottom. Step 8. Walk to the left side, and kill them from the bottom. http://img696.imageshack.us/img696/239/pwnageatcrimsongaurds7.png . Step 9: Repeat steps 2-9 Factors effecting your % an hour 1. The adventurer's critical ring. This has a massive effects on this training spot, as opposed to a different training spot. 2. Your damage. The more the better. 3. Not dying. This helps. A comparison between this and other training spots. The actual numbers. 17 or worse % an hour at typhoons 16 % an hour solo newts 24% an hour solo newts with proof of victory from cake vs pie (gone now) 26-30% an hour (warrior elexaris vs ciders used) With adventer ring and my MoN and xbow. 22% an hour without my MoN and 124 attack xbow (instead a 108 attack level 80 one) (screenshots taken from this time period. Newt parties can be exceptional at level 105, But these are difficult to form, considering that most people do not want a level 105, and it takes AGES to find a priest. Warnings 1. Try it first at 0%. You might die a few times while learning. 2. Keep your jump below 108% Credits Feel free to copy and paste this guide, and you can repost it on other websites ect, and you dont have to ask my permission, just put my name on it. Pretty nice guide I've never liked Crimson guards though, due to the spamming of holy waters

I tried this place and I gotta say, it's pretty darn good. I have the Critical Ring on my Ranger and I was activating the instant kill effect from my ring a lot more than I expected. This place has got to be the laziest training spot ever IMO with minimal pot burn, and the % per hour I got was similar or greater than Typhons (I fall off The Path of Peril an average of 4 times x_x).

Yes, the holy water usage is an issue. But it is much cheaper then typhoons/newts/skeles/anywhere you can think of.

I've been training here and it's nice, except I didn't even realize how much an adventurer ring would help. I was on hiatus from maple at the time so I never got one. I just hope my above average damage range makes up for it. I was recording about 20% an hour here at 111...maybe I miscalculated or I'm doing something wrong. We'll see. I'll report back.

Keep in mind, that your % an hour is decreasing as you level up more. Although if you have a MoN at level 110, that should make up for it. The exp is nice regardless. In addition, newts and skeles are slowing down, and typhoons is starting to get annoying, and slow. One of the perks of typhoons is that it lessens the gap between the funded and the non-funded. Even if you hit 52k on the entire mob, your going to have to lure more. So if you want to be below average and still train fast, typhoons is the way to go. Adventurers rings help greatly, because you are getting a 6% chance to 1hk0 EVERY ARROW ERUPTION! And you hit 120k when you 1hk0, instead of a measly 52k from a typhoon. Snipers have a better time here then rangers when you consider our higher damage/cheaper crossbows. This training spot becomes obselete for bowmasters at level 120. Marksmen can train here until level 130 (As I am doing)

I have a MoN. My damage range is about 22xx-40xx at 112, which I'm pretty sure is above average, though not the best out there obviously. I'll test out my exp keeping track. I didn't really pay that close attention.

Ok. The critical ring helps so much. Every 16 Arrow eruptions you get a free kill (on average). On average, the monsters will be at 1/2 hp when you free-kill them. So, if you have a 2200-4000 range, Then your average shot will be 3600*1.6, 5760 (non-crit). Now take out 1000 from DEF. 4760. Now add in some criticals. . 8360 crit, and a 5760 non crit. Is that about right? And you crit 40% of the time. On average, you will be doing 6800 damage. That is a 18 hit kill. (on average). Now every 16 you will get a free kill (on average). And the monsters, (on average) will be at 1/2 hp when you kill them. This adds around 1 extra kill per mob. So that is 7/6 of the exp you would get before. And lets assume that you can do that on 6 monsters, 100% of the time (a bit optimistic) Your 20% an hour? Make that 24 w/ a ring. More with attack pots.

Yeah, thats not bad for not having a crit ring. 24% an hour is still better then typhoons though

how much % would you say a lvl 105 will get with a damage range of 1700-3000 ish with a crit ring

I cubed my xbow last night and now it's 6% atk (sigh), but it boosts my range to about 2400~4250 ish (give or take a bit on either side). Hopefully this ~9 atk damage boost will help me. But even though 24% an hour isn't awful compared to all the other solo training places, it still feels really slow.

Thanks for this, at typhons I'm getting like 16-17% per hour, which is terrible. That and the fact that my equips suck. I totally missed the adventurer's crit ring too, when was that event?
