Question : You died and met up with an angel and a devil. The angel tells you that there are two path ahead which leads you to either heaven or hell The angel will obey you and do what you say. For ex. ( If you say you want to go to heaven, then the angel will take you there.) However for the devil, he will do the opposite of what you say. For ex. ( If you say you want to go to heaven, then devil will take you to hell.) Now in order to get to heaven what do you have to say? Note: This is a hard question and the angel and the devil is together so they both can listen to you Edit: Dont read this if you dont wanna know the anwser, : A: " I will go where you want to go."

Either person should be asked the following question: "If I were to ask you if this is the way I should go, would you say yes?" While asking the question, I would be pointing at either of the directions going from the fork. Or ask " "which would the other say is Hell?"" If you asked the angel: The Devil would end up pointing to heaven, because he lies If you asked the devil: The angel would point to hell, but the devil would lie, and point to heaven So either way, you go the path that they say

Some kind of statement like "I want to go to where you're from". The angel would take you to where he's from, heaven. The devil would take you to where he's not from, heaven.

How many versions of this riddle are there... OT: just ask the what he thinks the other angel will say if I ask whether one way will lead to heaven or not and take the opposite. So if I ask the truth angel while pointing at the heaven path, he'll know that the lying angel always lies and he'll point to the hell path then you can just take the opposite gate. If i ask the lying angel instead, the lying angel will know that the truth angel will point you to the right path, therefore he'll lie and point you to the hell path. Again you can just take the opposite gate.

Here's a harder one You are standing in front of two paths (a left one and a right one) - one leads to paradise and the other leads to hell. Besides the paths, there are two figures, each one of them can either tell the truth all the time, or constantly lie. Every figure knows where each path leads to, and the other angel's orientation, but you don't, nor can assume anything such as place of origin. (They can both be liars or both truth-tellers, or one of each). You can ask one of the figure a single question, in order to find out which path you should follow. What would that question be?

[/quote] That might not work since the devil is considered a fallen angel who was banished/exiled from heaven. So he would originally be from heaven. So the angel would take you to heaven. The devil would take you to hell.
