Which world is the top Omok world? After reading everything on this thread, if you have any questions, here is our current Staff: GonnaMakeHell DrHye Maybeupthere (A few more will be added, no longer taking staff applications) Welcome to Basilmarket's Multi-World Omok Tournament! Welcome all Omok players! Here, you'll be competing against Maplers in all worlds in the classic game of Omok. That's right, you will be playing people outside of your world. From now until September 15th , we'll be taking in competitors. Do not sign up if you are inactive. Last time, there were too many players that signed up and never played their games, screwing up the whole tournament. We ask that you subscribe to this thread if you sign up. I will be quoting you in every post I make that involves you, so subscribe to the thread AND check your "Quoted" tab often. Rules and Information 1. Have an Omok set ready in your main character's world. That way, any world where two competitors meet, one of you will have a game ready. (The easiest set to make I believe is the Pig and Octopus set. You just need 1 Pig, 1 Octopus, and 1 table.) 2. Subscribe to the thread, check your "Quoted" tab often. In other words, stay active and don't sign up if you're not going to keep alert on the matches . 3. Matches will be played best two-out-of-three . Take a screenshot of each match to verify the results. 4. All tournament ladders will be organized on Challonge , an online tournament ladder generator. I will post links to all ladders. 5. There will be a currently undetermined number of divisions, depending on how many compete. Final rounds of each division will play a best three-out-of-five . Winners of each division will meet in a Finalists Division. 6. Rounds will last 3 days each. Challonge's generator is a little strange, so most divisions will probably have some preliminary rounds to even out the number of competitors. Preliminary rounds will have a deadline before Round 1 begins. 7. By all means, if you can play ahead of schedule, do it. 8. If you and/or your opponent have issues meeting up (i.e. one of you never shows up), let us know BEFORE the deadline. If you do not let us know before the deadline, you will both be out. 9. Sorry again guys for closing the last one, and when I saw that GonnaMakeHell wanted to run one the same day I was gonna ask him to help me and a few others, I knew that this time it's gonna go to the end. So don't count on us closing this one! And mochaalatte , I'll add you, just stay active lol.

I'm gonna wait a while and then I'll update a ton at once, less of a hassle that way. Anyway guys, last time we did a tournament per world, then we were gonna have each winner play in a finalists division. This time it's just gonna be like, Division A, B, etc. I'm expecting will have four divisions, hopefully things are pretty even for the most part. Also, if anyone would like to make extra omok sets and offer them to people in need, that'd be really cool. If anyone would seriously like to help run the tournament and join the "Tourney Staff", PM me. You can still compete even if you join the Staff. @ two above, nothing's gonna happen till September 15th. Last time we had 99 signups in two days, so I shut it down there. This time, we're gonna make it as big as possible now that we know what to expect

It's gonna be several equal or almost equal divisions, rather than going each world playing in their own ladder. So everyone's gonna basically have to play roughly the same amount of matches if they keep winning, but I think this is gonna be a lot easier on the people that are gonna be running it. And we're ending it later to get more people. But I agree, that may be too long. We'll probably see how it plays out and close it sooner possibly. If anyone else has questions, PM me or GonnaMakeHell. @ above, it's only omok this time. Match Cards, you can cheat in, omok, you can't :P
