Paranoia, and how to stop it

I have Paranoia, it is quite a nuisance going to the store around 11PM and having to bring a knife out of fear. I can't go to sleep without my bedroom light on, I can't go on the computer because that would mean having my back turned to my living room, which makes me not really pay attention to what I'm doing out of the fear of someone popping out and stabbing me, I don't know why I have this fear always, but it drives me nuts, I find myself some nights clutching on to a baseball bat, and a kitchen knife in my back pocket hoping that my death won't be painful, and each day I am surprised to open my eyes, to find a warm, room, not a coffin six feet under. So basil anyway to stop this? I can't get a therapist. Here's an example of a form of my paranoia Im feeling right now, I met this girl online she lives in my city I want to meet her but Im afraid I'm gonna be kidnapped I am truthfully afraid to even go to the mall now because my name is on basil and alot of basilers live in my city. It is just never ending I am only at ease when I am excersing, and at school, having my peers and teachers around makes me feel better and more comfortable. For all the comments asking why someone would want to kill me: I live in a pretty bad neighborhood, there was a p3d0phile a few years back here, and a few stabbings, all for no reasons.

Wow, how long did it take you to post this comment and more importantly get to lev 46 in Ms? Lol, i can imagine you turning your head back at your living room after every word you typed for this thread. Sorry just realized that was a bit mean, sorry couldn't help it. OT:Umm, kill yourself, than you'll get over your fear =) Although seriously, a therapist would be a good idea.

Bodyguard? Roommate? Cousin, sibling, or good friend to hang out with? Dunno, just the first things that came to mind. I have a slight paranoia problem too, but I manage. EDIT: Seriously, probably about the best thing you can do (besides a therapist) is have someone watch your back. Or smoke a fat pound of... Well, nevermind. Stay away from caffeine and stuff that makes people hyper. You're probably stressed, you just need to take it easy.

I have paranoia too. I can't stand being near open windows, or having mine open at night for the same reasons. Although I live in a pretty good neighborhood. I have to have my TV on when I go to sleep at night, or else I will look in the dark in my room and see things and scare myself. It sucks.

Do you live in a house or flat? Living in a Higher place (like a flat) feels safe because its not like someone will climb a whole building to rob you.
