A Theory on Maple's d/c's and 2038 ban.

Hello All, As many of you have noticed, maple has been somewhat strange lately. Well I can't explain all of this, I'm not amazing, but I can explain a small part of it. Many of us windows 7 and Vista users have been disconnecting uncontrollably, and some of you have been banned to the year 2038, I have come to explain these two things(or at least what I think is behind all this). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Year_2038_problem What that link describes is the '2038 problem' or y2k. Here's a brief overview because I know you don't want to read that whole thing; the first operating systems were invented in 1970, these were 32 bit systems, and, since we had not nearly as much info back then as we do now, the encoded 'calender' for these systems wasn't very long. They are programmed to run out of time on January 19th, 2038. What does this mean? Basically all 32-bit OSs will just die. Simple solution: Buy a 64-bit system, however the worlds scientists don't think everyone will manage to get one by then and so lots of people will be without computers for a while, etc. etc. were all doomed, blah blah. Now, here's where maple ties in. Nexon originally just had permanent bans, meaning you were banned forever, right? Well just recently they changed it to the year 2038, they never really gave a reason, but with the information I just bestowed upon you, it makes sense. Now when you throw in the fact that many maplers with windows 7 and Vista (which are mainly 64 bit OSs) have been having connectivity issues, it all adds up. Maple was designed for 32 bit systems, so once we hit 2038, the game dies. Unless nexon can manage to update the game to 64 bit based OS, but knowing nexon, I doubt it'll happen. So that's my theory, hope you enjoyed it. Discuss. Edit: Forgot to mention this. With our newfound technology, our 64 bit systems won't 'time out' until Sunday, 4 December 292,277,026,596 AD....we got time to kill.
