will 126 Arcglaive out damage 143 Diesra(dpm)

Will it? Just wondering, since it's like 2 speed difference :S

I'm not up to date on this sort of info but apparently there's a formula that tells you what attack different weapons need to be to be equal in dpm if their speeds are different. ...Anyway I would stick with the arcglaive simply because I like attacking faster.

[/quote] [(Total weapon attack with arcglaive) * (swings per minute with arcglaive/diesra)] - attack from your equips = attack diesra to match That ignores combo buildup though, so the faster weapon has an even bigger advantage Anyways the arcglaive is better.

Sorry =[ [/quote] What this person said. Basically an Arcglaive is 18.81% faster than a Diesra so a 126 Arcglaive you could say would have the same DPM as a 150 Diesra (oh I guess it's still better). But with Arans the difference is bigger, the 126/150 only applies when your combo is over 100, before having a combo of 100 the faster speed weapon will build up your combo faster and therefore you will gain att from combo ability faster and more importntly gain combo critical faster so you will be hitting higher damaging criticals more % of the time sooner. So normally a weapon 2 speeds better ends up being about 24% better, so 126 arcglaive = a 156 Diesra. The difference becomes even bigger when you factor in other Attack equips, and when using an Onyx Apple the Diesra would have to be 180 or so to compare. Edit: @ above, I don't exactly know how to calculate it, but at one point some guy made like a half a page formula on difference of speeds, w/ combo and all this other stuff and it proved a 120 att arcglaive = a 153 diesra. So I basically just took a % close to that and have used it since. I use more a 120= a 150 though, as a weapon w/ 153 attack probably has lots of Str that would make it a bit stronger, but w/ 50%s out I guess thats not th case anymore.

The arcglaive pretty much destroys that Diesra. That arcglaive could potentially last you a while.

But it differs in DPM because of Arans Combo. For a warrior a 100 Att Normal (6) weapon = 119 Slow (8) weapon. For an aran a 100 att normal (6) weapon = 124 Att while combo is 1-99 and equals a 119 when combo is 100+. These are both not including other equips.
