What to max first?

Should I max Combo Smash or Combo Drain first? I'm somewhat good on pots because of PyPQ. And I have a decent amount of money but I'm saving for a wolf mount at 50. I'm 96% at 45 right now. So which one?

umm...don't save for a wolf mount c step jump is faster. Smash is better for exp gain, but drain is more useful in the later levels. So go smash first then drain.

Yeah I've noticed that when I Aran skip I go faster than the mounts. Thanks for the tip

you should already have max smash when you get it, by saving points. it makes the exp you get in cpq ridiculous. max drain after becaouse you dont even need it untill you get out of cpq reallly.

Smash should be maxed asap (as early as level 45), combo drain comes after that for sure. I believe an Aran c-step jumping can beat all but the lv200 wolf. I wouldn't waste 10m unless it was a low % of your total mesos (you had 200m or so). Personally I'm not gonna start wolf quests till I can get the lv150 wolf, just cause 150 wolf = pro =)

Go for smash. You dont really need the mount, just go with c-step :D

Although both are very crucial skills, Drain isn't completely necessary until late 3rd job. Smash significantly increases your dpm since other jobs around Lv4x doesn't have a skill that does 8k+ dmg.

You won't need drain till you get out of CPQ... Once your out, get you drain to at least 2% absorb ASAP. With that, I haven't used more than 10 barbs from 50-58 at FoG and those were probably due to me talking to my buds...
