Well, I wanna be in the talent show this year with my girlfriend. We're gonna do two songs by the band From Autumn to Ashes. The song's are, Autumn's Monologue followed by The Fiction We Live. The question is, are these songs hard to play on guitar? I know they're the same and The Fiction We Live is deeper, but are the chords hard? LF>Help/motivation to learn these songs. Thanks. :D

Nope, they're not hard at all. You can search them up online. I use ultimate-guitar.com . Honestly, playing chords is almost never hard..

HolyJunker Yeah, it's more than enough, but I meant with nerves. :x kokohpuffs I know chords aren't hard, but I feel like I'm gonna mess up somehow, lol. (Is a drummer) I've only played guitar a few times, and they were really easy songs.

You gotta get into it, keep it clean, regular maintenance, and it'll love you back. Also, don't get nervous, stay relaxed, and don't throw things off the stage :[

Move your eyes to the right (assuming you're right handed) and look for the bit where the strings fold over a (probably white) piece of plastic. This is the bridge. If you can reduce the height of this piece, you can reduce the distance between string and fretboard, which is called the action. Lower action, less effort needed to press the string down. What i like to do is file down the bridge, VERY carefully, with any sort of file. The nut: Look towards the headstock. The white piece or plastic that the strings are threaded through. Filing down the slits can also reduce action, although I've never done it or tried it. This would probably result in a crappy-sounding guitar. But it sounds kinda cool >:D So yeah. If you have a chance to change the strings before you perform, try filing down the bridge. And don't be scared to use electric guitar strings on your acoustic. Good luck to you, sir. Now I plan to get suspended for a posting restriction.
