Viable shadower builds

I'm 118 right now, almost a shadower. Could anyone describe the viable builds and the skill point distribution chart. I've only heard of Bs- Taunt and Bossing

Umm at 120 i was planning on 1 point in b-step, 1 point in venom and 1 point in shadow shifter. max b-step then i guess the rest is up to you.

[/quote] This is a pretty good start for Shadowers (with i got 1 Venom instead of Assassinate, but oh well, only got it a level late) First max BStep Then Shadow Shifter Then Taunt Afterwards, I think its Assassinate. Some of my buddies got Assassinate a little early though.

Well from what I see its max bstep and then depending on what you would like,shifter for avoid, assassinate for bossing,MW for parties, or taunt for training. Usually I'd recommend a lvl 10 shifter after bstep regardless of choice as its really useful. Oh and at the beginning lvl 1 shifter,venom, and maybe smoke.

At 120 try putting a point into fake and 2 into bstep. Getting bstep to 11 and 21 should be your top priorities in your early shadowerhood. Add in points into smoke and venom early on (after you get bstep to 11 I'd suggest) and then after you get bstep to 21 put a point into assassinate for the lulz (it really is worthless at lvl 1 though). After you get bstep the next thing you'll want to work on is shifter. Put at least 10 points into it before you put points into anything else. After you get 10 shifter you have the option of putting 9 into MW, only do this if you plan on soloing alot though. When bossing or training with higher leveled chars you can assume they'll have at least MW 9. After you get 10 shifter (and possibly 9 MW) you can have 3 options. 1) You can continue down the path you're on and max out shifter, which is useful in both bossing and training situations (for saving pots, with max shifter you can easily do 4 hours at skeles on less than 200 barbs). 2) If you plan on bossing, you can start to max assassinate after 10 shifter. Assassinate is a very powerful attack and will greatly improve your 1v1 DPM while bossing, but it's completely useless while training. 3) If you want to excel in training speed and you're comfortable with your damage you can go on to max taunt. Taunt should boost up your training speed by at least 30% (assuming you do it correctly and factoring in how slow taunt is), so that will allow you to train faster than someone who maxed assassinate early. If you decide to go the training route, many people will suggest putting more points into venom to help you out (because I don't think venom is effected by taunt's defense increase). Putting 11 points into venom should be ideal, but it's up to you what you're comfortable with. And yeah by the time you have bstep, taunt, shifter and assassinate maxed you should have an idea of what you'd like to do after then. Hope this helps you out a little bit

120 - 1 bstep 1 venom 1 SS max bstep MW --> if you plan to train solo and your friends have it SS --> if you want to become a seduce mule for HT Assassinate --> for bossing Taunt --> get it early on if you want to train faster (best if you can do bstep-taunt-bstep combo 100% of time) get 1 smokescreen in there for fun

i went with bs 1 shifter 1 venom 1 then while raising bs, i also got smoke 1 after maxing bs at 130, i raised shifter and got ninja ambush to 1 and taunt 1 just to have them. currently have 29 shifter and 5 assassinate. i plan on maxing assassinate. taunt might be useful, but its somewhat annoying that it takes so long to execute, and i feel like unless im on 4x or more, the 10% isnt that useful when compared to how much effort/time it takes to kill monsters just using that skill which is i think over a second. not quite sure on taunt execution duration. i have 0 mw atm but i might raise that after assassinate. after big bang with sp resets, ill probably want to max greed tho for the extra boost to MG.

After max bstep, get one in venom, get one in smoke, get one in shadow shifter, your build is up to you. If you like bossing, max assassinate next. However, the 20 book is rare. Assassinate currently doesn't replace the sb+bstep combo at bosses until 18+. Shadow shifter provides overall usefulness. I would max either of them at 130, then do the other. You can do 9/19/29 mw for the damage boost, then go taunt for faster training. Then get 21+ in venom, then smoke. It really doesn't matter what order you put points in after 130. Just go with what you feel.

is the 18+assassainte>bs sb combo true even with the change in assassiante? im not sure if the damage changed but the charge was reduced to 4 6 8 seconds from previous maxed 12 second charge. i feel like this could change the minimal assassinate lvl required to out dps sb combo.
