How to block the NEW basil IM bar?

My old ABP settings blocked the other crap but the bar itself is still there. I really don't want to download no script though.... >.>

The only way I know to block it is with NoScript. With NoScript, it is only two clicks for blocking the BIM bar. But since I have no lag problems with it now, I have enabled it.

Pretty much adblock or noscripting. It's no longer optional, unfortunately. I feel bad that so many people are having issues with it, it's not right.

How To Block BIM using AdBlock Plus for Firefox- 1- RIGHT-click the ABP "Stop Sign" icon in the Firefox URL address bar. Select "Preferences..." 2- Click the "Filters" menu, select "Add filter" 3- In the "New Filter" box that opens, type meebo 4- Hit Enter 5-Reload page This will filter content from "meebo", the provider who supplies the BIM- presto... no BIM. US (North American) users should click the first line for "Easylist". Then click "Add subscription". (Another highly recommended list "Fanboy's List". I have both of these.) From now on when you open a page, the ads on the page will be blocked, protecting you from the trojans carrying the epidemic "fake anti-virus scanners" outbreak that occasionally infect flash ads that appear on many different web sites, including Basilmarket. As an added bonus, the pages will load faster.

I don't use Chrome myself, but so far I haven't heard of anything similar for Chrome yet. I could be wrong though, so it would probably be best to check the Chrome user forums and see if anyone there knows of anything that can do this.

[/quote] Its pretty much the same for Chrome. 1) If you have the AdBlock extension installed, go to settings (the wrench icon) > Extensions. 2) Click "Options" under AdBlock. 3) Click on the "Blacklist" tab. 4) Click the "Edit" button > add "Meebo" > click "Save". 5) Refresh BasilMarket.
