Fix for those with flickering screen in Windows 7

Well I have had this problem for the longest time, and I have been searching for a fix. This has worked for me for days with no flickering so I'll release it to you guys. Note: This involves adding something to the registry. If you are too scared, then don't do it and enjoy the screen flickering. It's easily removable if you hate it for whatever reason, but you'll never notice it except for the lack of screen flickering. I am not responsible for whatever you screw up in the registry if you do not follow my instructions carefully. Okay. For those of you who don't know how to get to the registry, if you have Windows 7, click the Start button and in the search box at the bottom, type "regedit" without the quotes and hit enter. Now you are in the registry. Be careful and only do what I say. You will see a list of things with little arrows next to them. You're going to click the arrows to expand the category where I say to. -HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -SYSTEM -CurrentControlSet -Control Now you should see a list of folders under Control. Find the one that says GraphicsDrivers and click on the actual folder name, not the arrow next to it. Now you are in the folder. In the big white space on the right, you should see a list of things. (Default) DxgKrnlVersion UseXPModel You are going to add one more thing to that list. To do that, follow these instructions: Edit > New > DWORD (32-bit) Value Now it should make a new file on the right. Name it the following: TdrDelay Then double click on it and it will bring up a window. Make sure Hexadecimal is ticked. In the value box, type in 50 Hit OK, then restart your computer. You should no longer have the flickering problem. Here is my explanation for it. When my screen flickers, I get a popup from the right side of my taskbar telling me that the driver has stopped working and reset successfully. This is the Timeout Detection and Recovery doing it's thing. (Tdr). When we're playing the game, if this Timeout Detection and Recovery happens because of the windows 7 issues with MS, it will see that there is a compatibility issue and it will essentially make the screen freeze. What we are doing is adding a massive delay to the Timeout Detection and Recovery, this way it won't check for that and you can continue playing. This is 100% safe because the Tdr is not very important. It only causes problems. It has been working for me for awhile and I hope it works for you too. Enjoy.

I'm definitely going to try this when I get back to my home comp right before I get on ms. If this works for boss runs and makes me dc less I will love you forever o.o

I have that flickering problem only in full screen... I play in window mode and the problem goes away o__o.
