Why do people use the Ins, Del, Home, etc. hotkeys?

I find these extremely inconvenient to reach while training or just in general. Why do people use these hotkeys? I personally moved my pick up button to 'C', use Z for PS, X for SB, A for health pot, D for MP pot, and spacebar for something else. But I see high-levels in youtube videos using those hotkeys displayed on your screen. Why is this?

You still can't press the keys while moving though :/ or while using your mouse.

I've got SP on Ins, Haste/booster/meso up on del, ds on home. yep.

i got polearm booster on home, body pressure on end, hp pot on page up, page down for mp pot, crtl for attack.. That's my whole keyboard setup.

I can if you can see my home/pgup/pgdn/end/ins/del keys are very close to my movement keys and I usually have buffs on the ones further away like home... Plus mines a laptop so I don't use a mouse. It's just convenient for my keyboard and the way it's set up.

my ins/del/home/end/pup/pdwn buttons are all in the same place, it's just easier for some people with keyboards like that.

Cause my desktop has the arrow keys I use to move around those buttons. So I can easily attack or pot while moving P:

....i put my buffs and pots on those keys, buffs becuz u only need em sometimes and u never move while using them anyway, and pots i put at pg up and pg down becuz they are close to the arrow keys and easy to move while using em, if u can move while using those keys then ur hands suck, my atks are near pickup, my L7 is on ctrl, vampire on A, and normal way over on C cuz i never use it, i like keeping all my pickup, item,skill etc. buttons exactly where htey belong

some of us play with a program that lets us use a controller thus negating the distance to the keys look it up Google is your friend

I use em for powerups and pots. For my other chars delete is mobbing attack

I play like that, and its the easiest thing in life for me, idk why but it is, it just happens to be the very best set up for me O_O

i use the keys as skills, like insert is attack, because i have the same keyboard setup as azureicehime
