First day of college and I'm sitting here on BasilMarket in between classes on my laptop. It's so hard making friends in college. Nobody wants to talk...

Just walk up to someone. Atleast no one will think your a weirdo, college is alot different then High School people would think your a weirdo if you just walk up to them and randomly talk to them.

Here's what I did on the first day: There's some students hired by the school to set up tents to answer questions that freshman have. I went up to them and told them what a lovely tent they had, and asked if I may join them in their tent of guidance. I then start vocally pondering how strong the tent is, and start telling everyone to climb on it to see how many people could be on top of it without it collapsing. While they rejected this idea, it served to show them that I am awesome. Instant people to talk to. You can do it with anybody, but try not to hang with the bad crowd.

Are you serious? I go to college, I'm very young (for a college student) , but it's still easy to start conversations. Get off of your computer, and go make some friends.

I am kind of nervous about making friends too. I don't do good "small talk" I only go to the college for like 4 hours a week though, so I am not fretting over it too much. Especially since I have friends outside of the college anyways.
