Ideally, wouldnt you want to have early points in upper stab since it becomes a primary attack? I understand FA but wouldnt it make sense to max US before TS or BS? Also, if I was to follow one of these builds, which would you recommend and what variables determine which people choose?

From what I've heard FATSUS is used on long flat platforms like ToT and FABSUS is used in smaller areas. Though from the looks of it, I'd say FATSUS might be more useful because it has the ability to herd the monsters to one point where you can finish them off with US. Another "variable" would be which mastery books you bought. TS without a mastery book just plain sucks when trying out FATSUS (you can't actually pull off that combo if it's not max). Also in FATSUS, TS can be initiated right after FA by pressing the regular attack button (if TS is level 20), so none of that dashing stuff. In the end it's your call.

flying assaulter rushes monsters into a neat little group. Very useful, and very powerful. It has a long delay after, and you can't move/attack during it. Tornado spin is one of the moves that isn't effected by the huge delay. You can just go right into it, and it's like a second flying assaulter, with a little less power. Bloody storm is the other move. You use it right after flying assaulter to go right through the monsters and damage them, it's slightly more powerful, but it can mess up the neat little mob you made. Upper stab is nice, but it's most effective when you have 6 monsters within your range. Since flying assaulter+tornado spin rushes a large number of monsters into a neat little space, it's perfect for upper stab to maul them.

You need either maxed BS or TS to use FATSUS or FABS. FATSUS is for the masssssssssively large maps - ToT, Restoring Memory, Himes, etc... FABS is just there for the smaller maps or when you might just need it.

I found upper stab to be more useful going from lvl 75 until I was able to max flying assaulter and tornado spin. Even at level 1, upper stab was pretty strong and it's a fast attack.

Just spamming US on monsters becomes rather tedious. It's useful when you can mob monsters together with FA or TS (or both). I max Upper Stab first though. 70, I went 21 MI, 1FA for mobbing, and the rest into upper stab. I trained at jesters til 75 then went straight to Typhons, which, even though I missed a bit, was REALLY good experience. That's what I did.

I maxed FA then US first, because FA can mob, and US can finish.
