Be forewarned, I'm ranting here. There's been a chainlink of horrid topics on basil lately that I just feel I need to give my opinion on because well, I need a place to vent and Basil will be that place. Rollback threads I've played maplestory since before Pirates were even a glimmer in a GMS developers eyes. Only ONCE has nexon rolled back a server on as grand a scale as they did with the meso exploit, and if you think about it, it was 100% worth it, it would've otherwise crashed ever servers e-economy and well, would've banned many a user for "Dirty money" Flaming Nexon There's no point to doing it, this is a 2d, F2P videogame that you do Not have to play at all, no one is holding a gun to your head and making you play it, so why bother posting "Nexon sucks because this event is bad" No one makes you play during the event "Training is hard cause I can't kill aliens" Well, life is hard sometimes, and well sometimes people make mistakes, I myself admit, it's quite difficult to train, and not hit an alien, but it could be worse They could do damage to you also, flaming nexon because their coders are bad, or because theres this glitch or that exploit, or this hacker got his PE off on you, well look, Coding is quite hard, Coding a running game based on a nonfixed income is even harder. If you're thinking "Well they could fix the issues" It's quite difficult to solve a problem, when they're using your own code against you, and even when you DO FIX IT, they're going to find another way to do it, A Hacker will always be just that A hacker They won't quit for one fix, they'll find another, it's how they find their enjoyment, Either deal with it or Quit NX users are getting better than Non NX users Well, I run a free to play game, and need to entice my players to want to buy things, whats more likely to sell, a nice new pair of green slippers, that look JUST like the blue ones, or an item that will allow them to enhance their damage and stats which will trigger their competitive impulses and make them desire to be the best, and in turn churn more sales, They need to pay bills. It's their game, they can choose how to run it. Besides with all the ways of GETTING NX (MTS Merch, Surveys etc) you can do it too! Quitting Threads No one on basilmarket, ok, I THINK no one on basilmarket cares that a random user (I say random because at the title of a thread it's always I QUIT or SCREW THIS GAME) is quitting, stop wasting your time informing the masses, tell your in game buddy list and guild. We don't want/need to know. Heneh0e hatred threads It's a game, it's free, let them do as they please, they may be taking space up by just chatting, but that doesn't bother you when you're training at Gallos or BF leeching, why should it bother you for the 10 minutes you happen to be in henesys to repot? That is all ~Flame Shield On~

Yeah that is so. But there is also a lot of "im sick of these threads", threads. Which can be viewed as equally annoying to some.

Yes, basilmarket is obnoxious. But its kinda like what you said about nexon. Either deal with it or quit coming to basil or at least their threads. :P Not to say that I disagree with any of your points though. Hopefully you at least feel better now that you've written it all out.

Yes. On a side note, henehoes don't bother me. As their title implies, they stay at Henesys (I think?). I train at ToT (temple of time) and repot at Leafre. There are some of those at Leafre, but at least they're high leveled characters. Whether they leeched or w/e to gain that level, rests no concern with me, but their levels tells me that they at least put some effort in playing the game and not being a space-waster like henehoes. Though, I'm glad I'm passed the level of repotting in Henesys. Also, who takes 10 minutes to repot? You're there to refuel. Get inside the shop, talk to the npc, do some clicking and number-pressing, then get back to training/bossing, whatever it was you were doing or log out.
