What do you guys think about the mosque? :/

I'm kinda against it... ;/ Like I'm okay with how there are mosques all over the place, but seriously? They Make A Mosque At The Place They Killed THOUSANDS. I know that there is a difference between crazy terrorist muslims and regular ones, But cmon, can't you have just made a mosque at least 1 block away? I mean for all we know, people in in Afganistan maybe laughing at us right now, IM JUST SAYIN. gg (flameshield on)

It's not a Mosque. It's an Islamic center/community that HAS a prayer room inside. I support it because if it were a Christian Church, there would be no issue. They have just as much freedom, and right, to build a spiritual center as any other faith in the U.S does. "The First Amendment comes down to this: 'I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.' It does not come down to: 'The First Amendment gives me the right to repeat the N-word 11 times on the radio to an inoffensive black woman, and when you attack me for saying it, you are in violation of my First Amendment rights.'"

It is at least 1 block away bro I don't care at all. If the public wins and the community center containing the mosque is moved elsewhere, it was the choice of thousands of people. If the government decides to force the community center elsewhere, New York City should be complaining about their government officials rather than a mosque near ground zero.

And do you really think that muslims are going to build a Mosjid just to tease the death of Americans in 9/11? Downtown Manhattan is a busy place with many people and here are alot of muslims there as well. Its a place were they can simply pray during work or after. Its also an Islamic Center to teach islam peacefully.

I dont really know anything about it, I keep hearing so many different things about it Like when I first heard about it, I was told it was being built EXACTLY right on top of where the 2 Towers were, but then I heard that it was being built, just near it and not directly on top of it. then I hear what SuperSeller just said (above). Meh, I dont really have an opinion on it since I dont know for sure whats going on

I really don't care. They own the building, they aren't breaking any laws, people need to get over it. Sorry if that's "insensitive", but it's hard not to seem that way around 9/11 families...
