Against Buying NX?

| Why are people on Basil so against buying NX. If you have taken a peek at the "Just got 800 dollars from work" thread, there are so many people who have posted something similar to: "Wow LOL how could you even consider buying that much NX?" "Hey, how bout you buy a life, loser" "Why would you ever spend that much on this game, get a life!" Seriously? Why are people against NX. If you enjoy playing this game, why can't you spend money on it? That is like going out to buy a PS3, or a new DVD, or a pizza, and someone saying, "Wow that pizza is only going to last you 30 minutes, no life, waste of money." or "Lol why would you spend 200 dollars on a PS3, your going to get bored of it and it'll be wasted money." How is that different from buying NX? Or another perfect example, how is it different from all the N64, or PS1, or Gamecube games you have laying around that you don't play anymore? They are wasted money. I guess you are a no life for having those. What does it mean to "have a life?" Going out? What if people don't like going out? Not everyone is the same as you. Personally I don't like going out, partying, getting drunk or high, staying out all night doing random stuff. I like living a "boring" peaceful life. Does that make me a no life because I don't like going out as much as you? Really I don't see a reason at all as to why so many people flame on the people who buy "so much NX." If THEY like buying NX, and if it ENTERTAINS them, then let them buy it..." Does it affect you? Does it physically hurt you to see others buying NX? No, so why should you care? Jealousy? Because that is all I am getting from your ridiculous posts. The only thing other people buying NX does for you is making the game FREE. You should be THANKING the people who buy NX rather than flaming on them, because without them you wouldn't even be PLAYING this game. /rant. |

[/quote] when you get older, and you think back to your teenage years, you won't have anything to remember other than this pointless game. i'm not saying playing maplestory is wrong, and waste of time, i enjoy playing maplestory also. but not excessively like most of other people. that's the problem, everyone's ADDICTED. if only people weren't ADDICTED to maplestory, there would be no $800 spending on NX and such. and $800 from work? that tells you he's not young. not much of money, but he's probably 16~19 ish. a kid of that age playing maplestory countinuously at home for 5+hours a day. that's really sad. why do you think he's only earning 800 bucks, it's beacuse he probably spent his studying time playing maplestory -__- therefore, i agree to the people yelling at that kid saying he has no life. |

[/quote] He also could be working at a part-time job while he goes to college. 800 dollars isn't like... poor payment. |

[/quote] You contradicted yourself when you said "you won't have anything to remember other than this pointless game." then you said, "i'm not saying playing maple story is wrong, and waste of time," lol funny because that's exactly what you just said. You say its a pointless game then you say it's not a waste of time? This game is not pointless. Define pointless. It's meant as an entertainment purpose, that's the whole POINT of this game. And why is earning 800 bucks not alot. I say for that age bracket that's plenty of money. I agree spending ALL of it on NX is rather excessive especially because it's comming out of your own pocket. But no one has a right to judge. |
