Stonetooth or Reverse?

Forgot the reverse weapon's name, sorry. Im currious to know the way each sword works. For example, does the speed of a Stonetooth make up for the loss of like 10 weapon att and the 120 dex? I've heard that the stonetooth works better with apples by like 5% (Warrior weapons sticky) why is that so? Which costs more? I am currently dexless, if i were to go stonetooth i would pump about 30-50 dex. Thanks!

I would choose Stonetooth over the Reverse Nibleheim because I like the speed advantage. I've seen some Stonetooths go as high as 107 attack, so it varies. It also depends on how well it's scrolled.

No...if u add 30-50 dex thats a huge loss, considering there are now potential items. The speed makes up for atk only if you have a small diff, buh knwoing u need 120 dex u will need to add dex to ur character. Not to mention buy equipes which give dex, where instead u cud wear equipes to give u str. therefore Reverse. who ever voted stonetooth isnt a warrior, if they r. they fail at it edit: @Above, 107 atk compared to 130+ atk 0-0 thts like 23atk difference. u rlly think a lil speed will make the stonetooth better?

Don't pump the dex. Go with the Reverse... Stonetooth would be better DPM overall maybe (if you have a good one) but only do that if you don't sacrifice AP for dex. Get items for dex instead...zhelm...HT pendant...black belt...stuff like that. It's easy with potential nowadays.

Do not get items for dex, get accury items. nd use reverse.

I will actually explain why it works this way. The damage formula for 2h swords is Min=(STR*4.6*.9*.6+DEX)*totalatt/100 Max=(STR*4.6+DEX)*totalatt/100 whereas for 1h swords, the STR multiplier is a mearly 4.0 Even with same stats on everything, say 700 STR and 150 attack total, DEX not taken into account, the Stonetooth is still noticeably higher. The onyx apple increase effect works in the same way.

I beleive it's what ever attack the ST is x 1.09 = attack of reverse it is equal to. There is one thing you cannot denie, the ST looks sexy.. Heck the night ravens wing looks sick too!

[/quote] I don't read you, so ur saying that even with the stonetooths required dex (less str) the multiplyer 4.6 favors the lvl 120 reverse right(more str)? How does the onyx apple work? Uhhh it's a 2h reverse

Apples Works better on 2h weapons (any sort of att increase actually) and it works better on Faster Weapons (ST) Most people posting have no clue except the person who posted the 1.09 thing Anyway common att setup is all of your wep att giving things except the sword (i.e. GLove, BoF, Cape, Belt, Rage/Training Pot, Medal, Ring, Necklace, etc, etc, etc) (ST+Common att setup) x 1.0976 = (Rev 2h sword + Common Att setup) very easy to do, it just looks hard

EDIT: does the 1.0976 only apply with the apple or w/o?
