This is such a stupid theory, but idc....say what you want, but im still gonna say what i want to say So one day, one of my guild alliance members logs on. He tells us that we shouldn't play maplestory for the following week because there might be another roll back (this was about 2 weeks ago). it turns out it was true, except not on Bellocan, it was on Windia (from what i believe) or bera. So the day after the roll back, me, my guild alliance member, and my guildmate go to FM 13 chn 2 or something like that to have a guild alliance meeting. We invite our other alliance members and we start talking. "the reason we made you go to this meeting is because Ivan, Josh and I (Ivan = person that warned us up above. Josh = guildmate) have a theory. It may be outrageous to you guys, but we dont care. The theory is, Maplestory might close down." I explained... "Start talking to us all you want." So then someone asked me why I thought that. I answered "because of all the exploits and hackers increasing..." Then someone asked me "what if it doesnt happen...." Then i answered "If GMS survives when Big Bang comes, GMS will be destroyed. That means heck more glitches, exploits, and a bunch of other things. Then sooner or later after the bb patch, there will be tons more roll backs...." Then more evidence comes to the past week. v89 going live! : it was a simple thing to do : the visitors, and new weapons and stuff. The result: a server check........ about 12 hrs later Another server check....... They havent had an ETA...so the next thing that im looking at is this forum that says there will be a server maintenence for about 4-5 days....i think that is the server check going on right now.... And Nexon is taking all this time out of our lives because they messed up.....think about the big bang patch..its HUGE....this one little patch is tiny, TINY! I'm just really scared of whats going to be happening for the next year..... IDC what you think, and what you say about this, but i just wanted to get my feelings out..... thanks :D EDIT: BAM WAS I WRONG ABOUT THE SERVER MAINTENENCE......

I really doubt GMS is going to close. I believe KMS dealt with similar problems before and it still survived after some years. (Not sure how much) I just hope when Big Bang comes to GMS, it won't cause too much bugs and glitched. Last thing we need is a rollback to the state before BB.

wrong. it wont close down. WHY? remember when Combat arms was in 100% control of a hacker? he overtook the combat arms servers and total freaked nexon out? GM's were spamming hacking sites? yea, those were crappy times, but Nexon eventually got it back and now its normal (i just laughed at that statement) yea, theres still hackers, but its not as crazy yea, theres hackers, but maplestory is nexon #1profit source. actually, it brings in over 70% of their income. and with GMS having the second highest income rates after KMS, it wont shut down. already, the CEO of nexon and the vice pres of GMS said that kms will be on par with GMS by the end of 2010. with extended server maintenances, thats probably gonna be 10-15th of jan.

Compared to whats happened to JMS, MSEA, VMS, and TaiwanMS over the years our problems are NOTHING.

What is there to exploit in a patch that only changes the maps, skills, monsters, and adds a new class? I agree that there will be glitches, but they can be fixed.
