Any Laptop Recommendations?

Hey guys! I'm starting college this Fall! & I move in on Sept. 17. I need a new laptop for college, so I was wondering if you guys have any laptop recommendations? I don't want it to be too expensive or heavy cause I'm on a budget and a small girl like me can't carry a heavy laptop around school the whole time..happened with books in middle school & high school -___- (I'm 4'10" :o) Please don't be immature and make fun of my height please The books made my height stay that way If you guys can give me links to some laptop recommendations, it'd be nice! Thanks a lot! :D

at 4'10" you are legally classified as a midget, entitling you to one free coffee per visit to mcdonalds. it's how they give back to the community, giving coffee to handicapped people, i'm not even joking. all that is true in the US at least. ot: toshiba makes really good laptops, because they don't make regular computers. since they only make laptops they have to make them good or else they will go out of business. i've had a toshiba laptop for quite a few years now and i'm still really satisfied with it.

[/quote] I'm sorry but Toshiba don't have a good reputation, they're like Dell. You just don't want one. Sure not everything they make is crap and so but for the most part, stay away from it.

I've heard people say that a lot, but I have no experience with that. I've had 2 Dells and they've worked fine for me for over 7 years.
