| Introduction Ive been meaning to make this guide for a good time now and hopefully you will find it useful and not too crappy. Some of you might ask and wonder why make a guide so early. The only response I have to that question is anxiety. I feel that if I make a guide I will hopefully kill enough time that the waiting for the Big Bang will seem to be less that it is actually going to be. If there is anything you think is incorrect or you have any questions do not doubt in PMing me or posting it as a comment. I am going to try to keep up with all the questions that you might post but if for some reason it has been over 3 days and I havent answer you DO NOT hesitate in PMing me. I am planning to create a FAQ Section later, once this FAQ Section is up please consult said Section before posting your question. Thanks and Enjoy. The Big Bang Unless you have been hiding under a rock, you should know that Korea Maple Story has recently experienced one of its biggest patches yet, if not the biggest one. This patch is in fact so huge it was divided into three parts but they are together known as the Big Bang. It is the first installment of this patch that I am going to focus into. Reason being that it is the first installment the one that brought most of the skills, UI and map changes. For more information about the Big Bang please visit kruimel0s useful guide at: Big Bang Guide Also please visit Spadows blog at: Spadows Blog I am getting most if not all of my raw information from these two generous Maple information providers so please give them all of the credit for the information. Update Log v.0.01. Thursday, August 19, 2010 The Guide starts as a rough draft in Microsoft Word. Only Intro and the Big Bang Headers v.0.10. Friday, August 20, 2010 The Guide is posted in BasilMarket.com. Up to the 1st job. About 1400 Words. v.0.20. Friday, August 20, 2010 Fixed some errors. Up to the 2nd job. About 2700 Words. v.0.21....... Friday, August 20, 2010 Fixed an error with Steal and Haste. Thanks to TheMagistic for letting me know about my error v.0.22....... Friday, August 20,2010 Fixed an error with Savage Blow. For some odd reason I believed that 10*6=90. Thanks to kruimeil0 for telling me. v.0.23....... Friday, August 20, 2010 Fixed an error with base Mastery. I got confuzzled and thought that it was 15% Base Mastery for everybody. For Close-Range Characters as Bandits it is actually 20% Base Mastery. Thanks to GunDelHel for letting me know about my error. Keep the fixes coming guys! v.0.24........ Friday, August 20, 2010 Added a few extra comments for Steal and my 2nd job Build for Veteran Chief Bandits. I hope it is clear enough. v.0.25........ Saturday, August 21, 2010 Fixed the typo of BoT. It is Band of Thieves not Bandit of Thieves. Special Thanks to nickicksu for letting me know. v.0.30 Saturday, August 21, 2010 I added some but not all the Third Job Information, there is just too much ground to cover and I didnt want to have this |

| I think there is a change actually; double stab does 140% x2 right now. I am quite sure of this; just letting you know. |
I just checked my Chief Bandit and you are absolutely right. I guess that the information on BasilMarket is wrong then. I wonder if hiddenstreet.net has it right. Anyway, thanks for letting me know :D EDIT: Hiddenstreet.net has it wrong too. They have 130% just as BasilMarket.com. I am starting to get worried. |

| You can add that Nimble Body would be most likely the best option of the 3 to give 16 points since as you approach the higher levels, 4 accuracy or avoidibility is unlikely to cause a difference. The only time it will make a small difference is when you're 1-4 away from a perfect square because of the formula which rounds down the value and even then, its only 1%. The formula is "avoidRate = floor(sqrt(charAvoid)) - floor(sqrt(mobACC))". And replace avoid with accuracy and vice versa for the accuracy formula. |
It would actually be 12 less in Accuracy and Avoid-ability. At level 20 Nimble Body gives 60 Accuracy and 60 Avoid-ability, meaning that every Skill Level 3 Accuracy and Avoid-ability is increased. Although you are right, Nimble Body would probably be the best thing to sacrifice. But I am not posting it on the guide until I get confirmation on Disorder and its uses on Bossing. |

| You need 5 haste for steal. Also in my opinion, I'd get haste up until you have max speed after steal before moving onto savage blow because it increases your exp gain by increasing your mobility. 500% dps compared to 666% on a single mobs is fine and won't really cause a huge difference. Steal can be used with B-Step, especially at ToT where you can cover the cooldown, do a bit of damage, try to not disrupt the stun and hope to get some PoTs when you're in the 150s should you reach there so it may have some uses. Edit: Forgot about the Big Bang increase to it. 750% dps for savage blow. Maybe haste after steal may work as an alternative but it really shouldn't cause a huge difference. |
Thanks for noticing and telling me about the error. I have fixed it so that 5 Skill Points are used on Haste before starting on Steal. About the Haste before Savage Blow issue, as I noted before starting the set-up of the Skill Build it really depends on your training style and where are you training. I used to train with my cousin and he is a Sin so I did not feel the need of maxing Haste early on because he gave me his. It is all about what works best for you I think. Anyway thanks and keep the comments and questions coming. Also if you are like me and grinding is not your thing, most likely you are going to encounter an Assassin on your party, whether it is CarnivalPQ, LudiPQ or EllinPQ. |

| One small thing:
An increase of 10% damage per hit, which is a total of 90% damage increase. Not bad at all. Also the MP needed is 1 less than before. Nothing big, but even 1 MP is helpful. I love this change, I dont use Savage Blow much these days because I have Assaulter but still I just love the Skill.[/quote 10% damage for each hit, and it hits 6 times... seems to be 60% damage increase in total =P But it's a really nice guide anyways! Good job! |

| I like it. Very detailed and easy to read :D Though, I'm not sure about the description of Dagger mastery. I think you might have did a typo or something as it's reading 50% for the Post-BB portion. |
