How do you feel when your rival gets a higher grade than you

I feel bad By rival, I mean, somewhat friendly competitor for better grades. btw, i dug a big hole and went in the water and i got attacked by a really big wave flew back to the shore, getting scraped by the rocks

Well my rival is my very close personal friend who I KNOW is smarter than me so when I get a better grade, I'm happy, and when she gets a better grade, I just feel happy for her.

I stopped caring about getting better grades than people in 8th grade. Whenever a friend gets better grades than me, which is often, I just congratulate them and tell them I don't care so don't bother gloating.
