What type should i be if going lukless?

I'm going luckless and was wondering which type will be most effect? Fire/poison or ice/lightning or does it even matter at all because the bost will be the same for either job...any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

um...i would say fire because a luckless mage would put more into INT, meaning they would be stronger. this plus the massive amount of damage a fire wizard can do is a great combo

Well the point of the luckless mage is to be extremly strong so i think you should go with fire/posion cause u are going for raw power

NO WAY! Go for lighting/ice. In 3rd job, they have Thunder Spear (base dmg. 170!) Besides, training will be faster for an i/l mage.

the unique problem of lukless is the booster... u cant use it with umbrella in case u wanna use this weapon <.<

Ummmm i think you need Luk as a mage.....cuz its always 3 more ur lv.......I would choose a warrior and Archer for no Luk......

man, i/l mages thunder spear only hits 1 monster and is slow cast, f/p is mass atk and is already 120 dmg, maybe 50 less but i've seen a f/p do 10k+ with explosion (sry if it was more, i 4get)

use ur heads, it is EXTREMELY hard leveling to third job alone to get thunder spear and u expect to do it lukless? go fire

I would go for cleric, and i actually will do so, when all the umbrella will come out.

I/Lwizard will help so much in leveling the bolts are faster than poison or fire for exp and more damage rate,and if your hoping to be a 3rd job lukless you can use the ice to help u with defence....

To play devil's advocate, a LUKless mage might consider becoming a cleric. The lack of good armor will be offset by the fact that you can heal yourself, and the extra INT will let you do more damage when healing undead.
