What is the hands stat for?

I have like 457 hands on my dual blader. What is this for? I have heard that it has something to do with scrolling. But what exactly? Is 457 I good amount? So many questions... o_o

It has to do with maker skill, the higher the hands the less chance of failing the maker.

lol no wonder when i made my killic and craven they were really above avg and i only used intermediate diamonds. avg killic att 103 mine 109 avg craven att 45 mine 51

Hands come from Int/Dex/Luk, correct me if I'm wrong. It helps with the maker skill.

some weapons give "instant death effect" if your hands is higher then x ammount
