how old do you have to be for your gf/bf to "count"?

For example, I had a girlfriend when I was 9, but I don't think that really counts. And then another when I was 15. I think that one does count

I think it matters on what age they started primary education. I think I learned to count in my first year but that's probably too late for most.

uhh option 1 is like... if you're 4 or 6 it's ok. it kinda just means "Age Doesn't Matter"

I don't think it starts by age, but rather the seriousness of the relationship. You don't consider your girlfriend at 9 to count, but that's probably because you two never did anything. Now, if you hung out all the time, and we're actually in love with each other, then you might think it mattered.

yeah age is an issue, but maturity is as well so you could be well into high school and still be in some pretty dumb relationships

[/quote] We did hang out all the time... in fact a lot of my guy friends got pissed off because I stopped hanging out with them. It was for like 5 months maybe? And we hugged a lot and kissed once (a lot for a 9 y/o I kno). We said we loved each other but I don't think we really did. It was nowhere near as special as my current one (the 15 y/o one)

I mean, you can actually have a serious relationship at the age of 8; it's just really rare because most of them still think the opposite gender'll give them cooties. But then, fast forward to 18 and you've got tonnes of shallow idiots "hitting and quitting". :| Maturity is the key, and that can come at any age.

If you had actually loved each other, than would you consider the relationship to count?

I would say 13+. I've had about 16 girlfreinds from 13-. If someone asks me how many girlfriends i've had i say 1 cause i've only had 1 from 13-15.
