I'm socially awkward, winey, and tedious to be around. I'd like to change that by the end of Summer in time for school. I have no friends. I doubt I should look up to basil for this, but, any tips?

I tend to find that, from studying other people, social awkwardness comes in part from having a low self-confidence. Most people with inferiority complexes will not really want to put themselves out there, thus creating awkward tension. It's not something you can change over night, of course, but I suggest you focus on your good qualities. Pick out the best traits and compare it with other people. I don't really want to say this, but in a sense, you should look down on others. If you feel that you're better than them at something, then you'll usually gain the needed confidence to make conversation.
