At first I thought it was to make sure people pay taxes for large amounts of money, but now drops have tax as well f1

To be honest this 50k limit thing doesn't really bother me, the first time I made 1 mil back like 5 years ago or whatever I opened a trade to buy something and dropped it by accident...
