How Does one Choose Their Main?

I'm having a ridiculously hard time finding a main character. Killing Blue Kents today with my friend angered me even more about my ranger's low HP problem. I've had this thought probably 100 times now, yet I still continue with him. I hate that I can't kill a crog at level 110 without HB, that's kinda ridiculous in my book. So how does one choose their main? There's only 6 classes that I haven't made yet, which is: F/p wizard, crossbowman, buccaneer, gunslinger, evan, and white knight. Is it possible that one of those non-played characters by me could be my main?

Rangers can kill C. Rogs during 7x if you get Puppet early. Check the Bowman Bossing ref guide in the Bowman forums, a link to a vid should be in it. xD I got lucky on my NL. Thought of being a Fighter when I first started, but I met a girl that convinced me that I was actually looking to be a Thief instead (I liked the Luck stat). When it came to 2nd job, Dark Lord's description of being an Assassin seemed to fit me better. I've trained a Sader to 128 Hero and I've tried Shads at various times (play on my gf's CB occassionally), and I definitely know I made the right choices for myself. xD It's easy for some, tough for others, but you just gotta keep trying to find the right class if you get stumped. xD

Then DBs came out, and when i tried them out, it was AWESOME. So it is now my main. XD In other words, don't play for damage, bossing ability, flashiness, or being unique, etc. Just find a playing style that suits your fancy. I prefer mobile classes that are fast and can dodge attacks, so my Hermit, DB and TB (which isn't that mobile or fast, but can dodge well) are my mains.

It's just whichever class you have the most fun playing. Don't worry about damage or anything like that.

It should be one that you like even though it has some flaws. One that suits you.

I've tried every single class except Dual Blader. First one that got me motivated to reach 3rd job? Chief Bandit. It chose me.

Basically you have to try every class until you find the one for you. A few you don't need to try if you just know you won't like it (I've never tried Spearmen or DK, but Fighter always interested me more and I like Arans more than Fighters, I've never tried f/p but I had a 91 BW, I've never tried Sin but I've had a 50 NW). Out of the ones you said you haven't tried I would say try Bucc, Slinger, and Evan, atm there is no other class similar to them.
