hey u guys im a little bored of my 200, so i thought ill make a pirate cuz their skills look nice any help on what job adv i should pick- and PLZ give advice thats true, not some crap your tryin to say just for the sake of saying thx basil, LilacDreamer

If you want to opt for some close range action and invincibility frames, go Brawler. I find both classes pretty good all around, and both fun. Brawler Pros:Higher HP, I-Frames, Skills that don't use MP, Recovery skills, Ability to rush monsters, Transformation Cons: Low acc, Unable to hit criticals on bosses (due to not being able to stun them), no benefits from SE/Thorns Gunslinger Pros: Fast, highest hp of ranged classes, great mobility, amazing 1v1 damage, can freeze, 2 summons, huge boost from thorns Cons: Horrible at mobbing, very slow training (Outlaw hell)

If you're getting bored of a ranged class, I would say go for something wildly different. Gunslingers and Brawlers are both fun, look up some videos on corsairs and buccaneers. IMO you'd have a ball with a brawler, but its up to you.

i think if you are getting tired of a ranged class then make a bandit, if not, make a gunslinger

Third job with an Outlaw is hell. Brawlers are just difficult to start up. Go with a brawler, and don't bandwagon. People like you better for it.

make brawler. you already have a range class so make a melee class now.

Whichever seems like more fun. I'd say brawler because NL and sairs are both ranged. Close range characters are a change.

I think it comes down to what you're looking for in a class. I have both a brawler and a slinger, I love playing both of them. They are both rather different styles of play though. You've obviously got a 200 NL - so you've obviously got the ability to make it up to the higher levels on watever class you choose. That makes what I'd suggest more difficult. For a character that a player only intended on playing in the lower levels, I'd say go brawler, without question. Most people find the lower levels of being a gunslinger very unappealing, because the damage is low and you will get constant flack from anyone you run across about how much you suck. Likewise, partying with a 'slinger in the low levels, if that's what you wanted to do, is very difficult. But really, it all comes down to what you look for in a class. Slingers are extremely mobile, and if you're looking for a class that has more to it than just numbers to keep you entertained, a slinger is definitely it. Slingers have a much more similar playing style to your NL, being ranged, quick, one on one attackers. But are you looking for a class similar to what you've already played, or are you looking for something really out there in comparison? Brawlers are probably one of the most drastic departures from the playing style of an NL, they are constantly chaining attacks together and working on mob control. I always found it took me a day or two to effectively switch back over to the brawler playing style after playing some of my other more frequently played characters, like my slinger, xbow and mages (which are easy to switch between). Eh, I don't think that helped any. Try both and see what you like?
