| On dual blade up until 9x I could muster to get at least 1-2 levels and hour. And on my hermit at 76 I'm struggling to get like 60% an hour. Are dual blades just that much more superior than other classes at leveling? |

| Hm... DB - Mobbing Hermit - Single-target I think there's a correlation here. In addition to that, I guess you don't consider Evans and Arans in your equation, do you? |

| Dual blades are pretty much the mobbing class for thiefs. A hermit has a mbbing skill but waste a lot of stars with sp and avenger. A cb would be inbetween the 2. |

| So, does that mean that Hermits are destined to be slow trainers? |

| The only reason DBs train faster than Hermits is because you mob better, our only mobbing skill Avenger isn't too strong nor the best mob attack out there. EDIT: @Above, i find Himes to be pretty good exp w/ a priest, let the priest mob while you spam avenger... Drain helped me keep HP pots to a minimum, but they do 3 hit me. |
Lazy Avenger method makes Himes cost efficient and solid exp for 90-120ish as soloing IMO. I sometimes go there to make mesos on my NL (I just Drain them since it's easy to maintain them in mobs of 4-6 with their tiny KB). xD Edit: Our training speed will improve a lot in relation to how it is now post-BB. But yeah, we're generally slow grinders. xD |

| Hmmm, thanks for your input guys. I'm just confused as the reason to our training slow resides in our inability to mob. When logically thinking, it would make sense to me to just solo monsters that are stronger. But I am stumped as to finding an ideal monster that gives enough exp for soloing it, besides bosses. And I doubt a lvl 77 hermit can boss. |
We're actually not so bad when mobbing in 3rd (the exp gap between a Hermit and let's say a WK isn't that great in 3rd job), it's in 4th job where we become boss-heavier for exp. xD You won't be able to compete with a DB for exp rate, but at many places, we use less HP pots over time (I don't see a real reason to use HP pots at a spot like WR, their damage is so low lol). It carries over into 4th job if you're a Drainoholic like me (Post Big Bang, we'll be able to mob better, but we and CBs get Dark Flare, which helps heals us when we're around it lol. We also match Shads on Shifter % post-BB. We might still be slow compared to DBs and stuff, but we'll definitely still have that edge on saving pots). xD |

And that's a relief because my main problem with DB was of its lack of defense! Thanks orangeking I'm still motivated to continue my hermit even if it's going to be a pain.. =) |
