| I am at work right now so I can't update that quickly but please continue to discuss and leave comments. I have already changed my SP plans from what I am hearing now ^.^ | | | | | | | Great >.> after typing this thing twice because it kept on not posting, I misspell "after" in the title D: Thanks to this guide: http://www.basilmarket.com/MapleStory-Guide-KMS-Big-Bang-Revamp-333.html we now know our skills and the max level after the BB and since we get a scroll that completely resets the SP from all our skills, I want to know the best/optimal SP distrubution for high leveled mages. Below is my suggested SP distribution for the Magician class, I am open to improvements and comments, just leave a reason/give an explination for them please. SP Amounts: First Job - 67 SP Second Job - 121 SP Third Job - 151 SP Fourth Job - 243 SP Format: Skill [lvl] First Job Max MP Increase [10] Max Magic Guard [15] Max Magic Armor [15] Put the remaining 27 SP into whatever since you don't really use these attack skills. However, I do suggest Cleric/Priests max Magic Claw to have a decent attack/mob skill for your early levels. Second Job - I/L Magician Max MP Eater [20] Max Spell Mastery [20] Max Meditation [20] Max Teleport [20] Max Slow [20] Put the remaining 21 SP into whatever you want since you don't use second job attack skill often: its really a toss up between a single hit freeze attack or a multi hit mob attack or you can do a 11/10 split if you really wanted to. If you are in the early levels of 3rd job I suggest maxing Thunder Bolt because of the mob-ability which usually equates to faster training. Third Job - I/L Mage Max Element Amplification [20] Max Teleport Mastery [10] Max Elemental Reset [10] Max Magic Booster [20] Max Element Composition [20] Max Seal [20] Max Ice Strike [20] Max Thundersper [20] Partial Resistance [1] I suggest not maxing PR because it seems useless to I/Ls because you won't be training on to many ice/lightning base monsters especially since you can't freeze many of the ice base ones (that is unless Elemental Reset allows you to freeze them too). It won't hurt to max it if you want, just skip Seal, TS, or Comp. If you are in 3rd Job still I suggest the following build: 1 Teleport Mastery <-- for the added damage and stun chance when telecasting Max Ice Strike Max Amp 11 Booster Max Teleport Mastery From here you can: max Booster if you don't like recasting it often, max TS or Comp for another attack skill, max Reset if you want to widen your training area, or max seal. I suggest putting 1 SP/maxing PR last because it is the least usefull. Fourth Job - I/L Arch Mage In order of importance **improvements here are welcomed** I like Etrieys 's suggestion for the first 3 SP of 4th Job: . 1 Blizz <-- freeze and DoT the map . 1 Ice Demon <-- freeze/DoT/make monsters weaker to ice . 1 CL <-- attack skill to train with Max Chain Lightning <-- new training skill Max Magic Mastery <-- for added damage/increase buff lenght Max Maple Warrio |

| 1- Holy Arrow is a lot better after BB i think. Like 380% dmg, so thats worth maxing 2- Bless>Invincible, so maxing bless is better i'd say 3- Big Bang of I/L does not have freeze or DoT. It's lightning elemental 4- Angels Ray gets awesum because its a mob attack, so its like CL or Para so it should be maxed soon (or at least before BB) |

| Elquines is important for I/L Archmages due to the lack of 4th job freezing skills. Most of the kms vids I've seen left it at 10. Also, Angel Ray should be a bishop's primary training skill. Big Bang is mostly used for charging while moving towards another mob so its not that great in comparison. |

Plus it only attacks one monster I think while Magic Claw attacks 2. As for HR vs. BB, BB does [at max lvl] do more damage to more monsters than HR. The only down side is that I think to get the full 290% damage you have to charge it all the way which takes like a couple of seconds. Do you know if BB stuns for I/Ls? Thanks Abysseon As for Elquines, ID seems more beneficial than it because of its DoT and ice damage increase. The benefit of Elquines seems to be that you don't have to waste time pressing a button for it to attack. Does it work like a bowmans bird summon (as in the second a monster spawns it will freeze it giving it no time to attack you)? If that is the case I can see why its usefull but don't max it. |

 | PB DoT stacks with other DoT attacks for the FP, or so I've heard. PB will be needed moreso than MP Eater. MP Eater (over lvl 3) is useless to FP mages. Unless I'm mistaken, MP Eater will be the same post-big bang as it is pre-big bang. If that's the case, then it'll still be pretty useless to FP mages. |

| I hate when ppl say not to max skill bc a 4th job skill replaces it...did you stop to think that skill helps you get to 4th? I'm referring to poison brace, I didnt read on after that. |

| For I/L I would recommend 1 Blizz 1 Ice Demon 1 CL For a training build Max CL Max Magic Mastery Max MW / 20 MW Max Ice Demon Max Elquines Then your choice of blizzard, infinity, etc. For a bossing build Max CL Max Magic Mastery Max MW / MW 20 Max Ice Demon Max Elquines Max Infinity then your choice of skills I'll write up my reasoning later. |

| I agree with xgrip2k5. I believe Poison Breath/Brace can be a highly beneficial skill to second job Fire/Poison Mages (I know from experience). If you wish to max both Fire Arrow and Poison Breath/Brace for more training efficiency you can leave MP Eater at 3 and Slow at 18 in order to max both of your second job attacking skills. |

| Maxing MP eater for F/Ps is and ALWAYS has been a very BAD idea, and getting poison breath after the bb patch will be VERY important, not getting it will cripple you. I strongly emphasise that you alter that part of your guide immediately. As for your 4th job f/p build, I suggest, in this order: lv120: 1 meteor, 2 paralyze Max paralyze Max mastery 20 fire demon max ifrit max fire demon max maple warrior max meteor That way you have all your DoT and bossing skills down pat before level 15x. |

[/quote] Sorry, slow at updating but I got it in there. dethsythe446 I am really more focused on high lvl mages and that being the case would you still recommend maxing FA for 3rd/4th Job F/P Mages? For those mages starting out after the BB I would still follow the standard build you suggested. Etrieys I really like your idea for the first 3 SP distribution of 4th Job. Emenia Would Etrieys 's sugguest for the first 3 SP be better for F/Ps (meteor, FD, para)? dethsythe446 That seems like a good point about FA for earlier 3rd Jobs but couldn't you just use Magic Claw or would that be too slow? As for using explosion to finish off a misted mob, could teleport mastery replace that since explosion has a slow cast time (not sure if the cast time is speed up or how many monsters it hits with just 1 SP). |

| For mages that are already at 4th job before the patch happens in GMS, maybe Fire Arrow could be skipped for MP Eater since you're going to be using Paralyze which is a fast mob attack and Fire Demon replaces Fire Arrow later on. However, 3rd job mages can still benefit from Fire Arrow because when misting monsters you might want to kill mobs from far away with a ranged mob attack like Fire Arrow rather than getting into the center of the mob and killing them with Explosion which causes you to use more potions due to the fact that you get hurt more often. |

| Thanks for the guide! It seems really helpful. I would definitely say to max PB after bb because of the DoT stacking. Either MP eater or FA could be skipped, I think that I'm gonna leave mp eater at 1, because it is completely useless to me. EDIT: just remembered that medi needs mp eater at lvl 3, so i'll get mp eater to 3 and probably take the points out of either fire arrow or slow. |
