I always hear about people not telling anyone that they play maple, that they think its embarrasing and "uncool". Well if you are embarrased, Why do you play then.

I feel embarrassed at times because I'm afraid that people will mistake me for some addicted nerd who can't stop talking about stats and levels and stuff. I enjoy maple, but only at a casual level. I hope that makes sense.

I quit the game for this reason. People get embarrassed because there really isn't a point to the game and it really just is a waste of time to gain recognition for in-game achievements (that in the end aren't that great since NX makes it all possible) that only fellow maplers would "respect." This is why people who don't play the game and can see through all the graphics while watching someone else play find it to be a total waste of time.

well i never cared to tell most people its not like its a big thing to talk about... i pass the time with when i need to but if i were to say it it is sometimes like a wtf feeling xD because people dont know enough into something to judge whatever it is sometimes but all in all no im not embarassed because i play it as such any other game like a flash game ... No comment on why i go on a forum website bout the game though :P
