Why are gaming threads being moved to the Fun section?

One mod is moving the gaming related threads to the fun section.. Why? Pretty sure it was clarified earlier that they belong in the chat section.

How do you mean "gaming threads" exactly? You mean "Do you play Pokemon too?" threads or "Let's play Artpad here"? To Hyper: MrBot is a bit the moderators use to anonymously send messages to people who have filed a report. We can't use it for anything else. If a thread is moved Bot (without Mr) sends you an automated message.

Not artpad. I would barely consider that gaming. I mean like, "Call of Duty" and "Pokemanz." The thread i was browsing was "CODMW2 (Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2) PS3, play me." It was at the top of Chat section one second, then it disappeared. "Wtf." Of course, no one was replying once it got moved..

i think on one thread a mod said that game discussion threads can be under in the chat section while inviting people to play game threads will be moved into the fun section.

It's considered "fun and games" now. As Persephone said, discussions are good in chat, anything "lets play this!" goes to fun.

Anything that has a subject and discussion I find should stay in Chat.. like when talking about the games for example, or any other subject really. When it's become a "let's play" thread? Whether it be an online game on the computer or even on a console it should be moved to Fun. I know a lot of you hate the Fun section because your threads are moved there and don't get as much activity.. the only thing I'm going to have to say unfortunately to that is that people should just try to visit the Fun section more often if they want to play games, is all. =/
