| Lucid dream: A lucid dream is a dream in which the sleeper is aware that she or he is dreaming. When the dreamer is lucid, she or he can actively participate in and often manipulate the imaginary experiences in the dream environment. I had my fourth one last night after a lot of practice and it was unbelievable! I remember flying. A good starting place if you want to learn how to lucid dream is by doing this. While you are trying to sleep, right up until the point you fall asleep say to yourself, either in a whisper or repeating it in your head "how did I get here how did I get here how did I get here" over and over again. Once you fall asleep, your dream self will remember those last words you kept repeating because they were on your mind right until you slept, and if the words repeat and your dream-self hears them "how did you get here" then try to answer that question, once you realize you don't know how you got there, things will begin to click and you'll realize you're in a dream, this is when you become aware and enter lucidity. Most people wake up at this point, but through practice you can learn how to stay in your dream, and once you are fully aware that you are dreaming, you can do anything you'd like. The first couple times you lucid dream, naturally and instinctively they'll revolve around sex, for example the first chick to walk by in your dream you might want to grab her and have sex and she'll comply, but once you calm your hormones you can do much more, like fly, have anything appear, I had a Lamborghini appear once, etc. It's very fun! Everyone should give it a try. |

You just don't remember it. Dreamless sleep is actually bad for you, dreams help your brain rest. OT: I had a lucid dream once. I was an idiot and decided to go flying instead of having sex. |

| If you have any dream, you should write down what happened right when you wake up. Sleeping at a set time is also helpful. |

| Another way is to think to yourself that if something appears it signifies a dream. Basically what the TS said except think of an object that normally wouldn't appear... AKA a blue pig. Or, rarely, you'll find yourself wondering how illogical your dream is which shocks you into knowing it's a dream. |

OT: I had a lucid dream once. I was an idiot and decided to go flying instead of having sex. [/quote] That's only a theory. Your brain most likely is just thinking in the process between awakeness and sleep, thus creating the illusion that your dreaming because you don't know that you haven't fallen completely into sleep yet. Otherwise when your asleep your mind is constantly active, because your mind never shuts down during sleep. It may appear that your dreaming, but its just your mind at work. That's why when you wake up you never remember them. And I know, but I can't dream for some reason. I get a dream once or twice a month. x.x |

| I've read about Lucid dreaming before, and it's only happened like once after that. I had a dream that my brother was bitten by a rabid dog, and I told myself "This can't be happening". Turns out it wasn't happening. But once I acknowledge I was dreaming I woke up. |
