Nexon ONLY cares about cash? Here's their response

Q: Does Nexon just care about money? A: Nexon cares most about providing the best game possible. Unfortunately running a game costs money. In order to run the game, add features and services, not only do the employees need to be paid, but the servers need to be run, the utilities need to be paid and countless other things require money to keep the game running. This will always affect our decisions when adding new features to MapleStory. The fact is, providing the best game possible also means that we need to be making money to allow us to do these things for you. Our primary motivation will always be "What is the best thing for the game" For example, how much money could we make if we charged you $5 each time your character died? Would we ever do that? Of course not! Not only is that a horrible idea, but nobody would want to play under conditions like that.

Are you angry at people saying "All they care about is cash"? Or are you angry at nexon? I think they have a valid point BUT, they need to work harder on improving the game's flaws.

Well thats because if you charged $5 everytime we died, You would have no one playing the game, therefore making no profit. Nexon is greedy, But not dumb enough to do that.

This just in- Businesses around the world care about paying their own bills and employees and providing a return for their investors! This isn't anything that should surprise you. The point of a business is, ultimately, to provide a return for their shareholders. (Whether private or public, there's always the concept of 'shareholders'). They make that money by providing a good or service that people want, need, or both. What Nexon does is simply follow the best business model they've come up with. Adding new content and finding new revenue sources is what they have to do to stay in business.

Using the cash shop is completely optional. . . its not mandatory to buy tons of items that increases your fun with the game. you don't have to spend a dime unless you want too. its all about You as in you choose to give them money. and rawr

Maplestory used to be 100% free once. If you research, the Cash Shop didn't exist at one stage so that itself right there is proof that Nexon is profit driven. Think about it, to even experience the full potential of new classes you must pay real money in order to do so. Money is their motivation, they'll fool you into enjoying new services but their ulterior motive is still money, bottom line. Sooner or later we'll have to pay real money in order to achieve only a minimal amount of enjoyment on maplestory, watch, it'll happen. Also it is NX witch is slowly making the gap bigger between the poorer and the rich witch is in itself making the game harder to play for the people who don't want to spend money on the game.
