pretty sick of these end-of-the-world thoeries... ...if it's gonna happen let it be, we can't do anything. edit: sorry i posted before i clicked the link.... lmao heh why do they even bother predicting, who pays these fools... by then if humans still exist there will probably be technology to shield the entire earth let alone shoot/de-materialize that puny rock.

Just read about it, doesnt seem big enough to end the world but just cause major destruction in the area it hits. The chances we have with current technology aparently would be most effective to destroy or deflect it in either the years 2060 or 2080 because the asteriod orbits and comes closer to earth at some points and other times farther. After that it would be hard to determine when it will hit but most likely around 2162 or 2182. Or something like this. It doesnt seem to be to life threating but if it is and it hit in 2060 i'd of already lived a pretty long life and would not care to much about death. Dude... it's going to be 2182... there is a 1/1000 chance that it will hit. One of the 999 chances that it won't it may be that all the leading weapon techs in the world (America, Japan, SK, NK, Russia, China etc.) may make a Laser Beam SO STRONG it may destory the astreoid completely.

Just researched a whole bunch about asteroids and crap and it doesnt seem to be a laughing matter at all. Seems like there are asteroid hits 1000times stronger an atam bomb every century >.>, there are thousands upon thousands that can hit us at any moment because our goverment doesnt fund enough money for us to detect every single one. So its extremely possible that an asteroid that can destroy a couple citys in seconds could happen at any moment or one big enough to kill hundreds of millions or end human life as we know it. There have been quite a few accounts of asteroid hits that can kill hundreds of thousands of people in the last couple centuries.
