Can you enchance a potential item?

So basically lets say i use a potential scroll on a weapon. Can i still use enchancement scrolls on it?

well right now i have a 112att Arcglaive with 1 hammer left, should i do 90% potential or enchancement or both OR keep it how it is? :D

It depends can you afford another one with the same stats? If not then don't risk it.
