Let me for once share my opinion about Nexon and the people complaining about Nexon. First of all, what's the primary reason you started playing Maplestory? For me, I like RPG's and this game seemed like alot of fun. As a big bonus, the game's free. Nothing can change these primary facts; it's your own decision to pump money into it. People have been complaining about Dual Blade money-issues... But I bet there weren't any Dual Blades around when you all started playing Maplestory and you found the game fun. So just continue that way, without having to spend money? Yes, I may find it stupid that I can't have a pet to loot all meso for me like cash users have, but I accept it 'cause the game is still alot of fun and it's free for christ sakes! Moreoverly there's been alot of discussion about the rollbacks, extended server checks and so on. People complain and complain and complain, and they have their reasons: they lost meso, levels, items.. Even a baby gorilla understands: A ROLLBACK SUCKS. But why do all these complainers continually blame the people who had to perform the rollbacks (Nexon), and not the freaking hackers that made the rollbacks inevitable? There's hackers among us that screwed the game all over, undoubtedly giving ANY company that would manage this game a really hard time. On top of that, every company has got to learn through errors like these. They learn how to get rid of a hack while new hacks are already in development. Online gaming business is tough. all of you complaining people sitting on your lazy asses waiting for the servercheck to get over should know that. So what about your billions of meso, the thousand levels you gained in two days? Well, if you had played the game a normal and healthy amount, you would never have lost so much. And in case you forgot, Nexon willingly advised you to take it easy on the game: "You have played Maplestory for 3 hour(s). We suggest you take a break from Mapling". But I'm sure all of you who have lost alot, ignored that. You just went on and on. If you had helped your moms cleaning the house in those two days, that wouldn't have been rollbacked. Seems like you made the wrong choices with your time. And in case you "didn't play that much but you still lost that many levels and that much meso"... Well no problem right? cause if you're so fast, just get back where you were in the same amount of time..? Getting this crazy over a free online game, means you're too addicted. Maple is like a baby's toy to you. The second they take it away from you, you all start crying like babies and you hope that if you scream hard enough, they'll end a server check sooner or they don't perform another rollback meaning hackers can continue destroying the game. Here's a challenge: go do something else instead. You ought to not give a damn when a game like this goes offline. But the INT of the complainers among us can sink even lower! Simply Nexon doesnt do their job right. They wouldnt have the hacking problem in the first place if they did it right. Compare to all the other games. Such as WOW. Do you see them EVER have a hacking problem? Also, the reason why your standing up for Nexon is probably because your not in the position where everyone else is at. As in losing stuff you bought/gained -__-

I gotta agree with a good part of what you said, after all, complaining is always the easiest thing to do. But, I can't deny that Nexon's response have been disheartening at the very least, saying you're going to deal with something in one set way and then doing another completely different thing without warning isn't the best way to do things. Sure, saying something "FAILS" is putting it very bluntly and stupidly, but they've done a couple of stupid moves. In the end, the response of the individual really all depends on how they've personally been affected; it's easy to say "Don't like it, don't play it" when you've personally haven't been affected much, but a good portion of those people will quickly go to opposite sides of the spectrum if they get screwed. Long story short: Nexon's faulty crappy security is their fault. Obviously the hackers do the hacking, it's your job to prevent that. You don't let your four year old kids walk alone in the street in the middle of the night.

A lot of people do a lot of things for this game. I didn't mean that in a dirty way. :P They put hours & hours of hardwork to improve their character. After waking up to a server check being extended and getting rollbacked? I think we deserve better than this. :/ But I have to say NEXON has done great. They're not so bad. They find quick solutions and effective. They're only humans and we all make mistakes right? Let's just forget this ever happened and hope it won't happen again. (:

Yes, Nexon has pretty bad customer support, but I've played some games with even worse customer support. Still, I've played games with very awesome customer support. Even companies like Apple have incredible customer support, and are much larger.

maybe nexon should stop hackers? And you obviously dont know how the dupes worked... you didnt have to hack to abuse them it wasnt packet editing or anything it was just that nexon sucks at programming

As in losing stuff you bought/gained -__- [/quote] You just compared a game that 10s of MILLONS of people play and they have to PAY ever MONTH so of course that will always be better nexon has mess ups of course. but they can make a fairly good game out of what they have. itz free and be glad it is
